More than a half million numbers are rising in 43 states, roughly a third of all new cases are coming from the midwest. A member of the White House Coronavirus Task Force Said that the numbers arent just up because of more testing. Even though testing is up. This is a real increase in cases. We know that not only because the case numbers are up and we can see that but hospitalizations are going up. The federal effort to accelerate production of a vaccine is already producing tens of millions of doses. Even before any vaccine candidate has even been proven safe and effective. The drug maker still in a race for approval right now and pfizer just asked the fda for special approval for emergency use for its vaccine potentially as soon as november. It feels great to be able to celebrate birthdays for the first time in a long time. Im really looking forward to it. Moving in to the orange tier means restaurants can move to 50 capacity indoors. So can movie theaters, places of worship and museums. Gyms can now up their capacity to 25 . In order to keep it that way the counties have to keep their case numbers low, continuing to follow safety protocols. While folks are excited to be back inside and in even bigger numbers they know theres a fine line between maximizing your potential for business and making sure everybody is still safe. When you can increase it to 50 of capacity at social distancing to me thats key. That makes it more, you know, that gives us a little fighting chance of survival. Continuing to move in the right direction is depending on making sure that people follow and continue to follow safetyprotocols, wearing masks, keeping social distance and avoiding large gatherings.
