We are starting off the day with good air quality all across the bay area and that is so nice to see. This morning, because of that ocean breeze with that cleaner air, we are looking at foggy conditions and some patchy drizzle first thing this morning. We are looking at along the coast and the bay, some patchy drizzle with oakland and it is 65 degrees, 61 in San Francisco and san jose is 67 and there are foggy conditions in santa rosa, which is 58 degrees. We will talk about the rest of the work week and the weekend. Some changes are on the way. I will let you know about the possibility of more smoke coming into the bay area. Details on that are coming up. It is foggy across the bay bridge. Chb has issued a fog advisory for the bay bridge. You can see it hovering over the toll plaza. Meter lights are on in traffic is starting to back up. It is a slow ride out of the east bay into San Francisco. You will see some slower speeds across the upper deck. Limited visibility is there and a fog advisory is in effect. As for the Golden Gate Bridge. Southbound 101 into San Francisco has been cleared. That is good news. Were looking at an okay pace. We are following breaking news out of contra costa county. A double shooting in pittsburgh early this morning. Police got there they found two people who had been shot in the parking lot of this foodsco Grocery Store. One of them was shot in the head. We do not know anything about their condition. Police have not confirmed anything about the victims at this point but we are hearing that it was a man and a woman and they were taken to the hospital. Detectives are on scene and the parking lot is blocked off. Police have not said anything about a motive or any suspects. Back to you. Santa clara county says private Healthcare Providers need to do more when it comes to coronavirus testing. Three months ago, officials ordered private Healthcare Companies to step up testing but say they are falling short in the first week of september, the county did 13,000 tests and private Companies Including kaiser permanente, stanford, and hca are doing far fewer. Kaiser says it is committed to making testing timely and accessible for members. There is a new popup testing site open today at over Felt High School on cunningham avenue. Santa clara county has been upgraded to the red tier nine days ago if the county can maintain this progress and typically they can reopen up k 12 schools in five days however san jose unified School District said that is not going to happen. They will continue with Distance Learning through the end of december. The district argued that the case count right now is still higher than it was in march when the lockdown began. Right now, the majority of positive cases, 57 of them, are of unknown origin. The district says they will maintain Distance Learning because with families, consistency is critical.
