And as we head through the afternoon, looking at daytime highs in the mid 60s in San Francisco and low 70s in oakland and low 80s in san jose and about 90 degrees for concord. At least one marine was killed and two hurt in a training accident. This was near the coast of san diego. Marines were from Camp Pendleton and they were apparently hurt in some sort of amphibious vehicle attack or accident basically. Also fire early this morning in San Franciscos north beach neighborhood. We got this video from the citizen app. This is on powell street between bay and francisco. One person and a dog were rescued from the fire. That person is now in the prou right now. But roadways are still blocked off in that area. And the investigation into how that started continues. Back to you. New details this morning. Police in berkeley are investigating an officer involved shooting outside a cvs pharmacy that happened last night. This is right after 9 00 enchain rock avenue. Police say an officer stumbled on a theft in progress. She fired her weapon when the suspects tried to get away. I know there was some type of theft from the store. The shooting happened in the parking lot. We have no information of anyone getting struck by the gunfire. Police are looking for a dark colored sedan thats all they have right now. No description of the suspects. Now to a new development in a Controversial Police shooting in vallejo. The da appointed a special prosecutor to investigate after abrams says therrm distrittorney in San Bernardino county michael ramos. He will now review the february death of willie mccoy. Mccoy was fatally shot by police while sitting in his car at a taco bell drivethru. As for ramos, critics are concerned about his background. A judge recently found the former da had improperly deleted Text Messages and emails after he was sued. My view on this she should withdraw the appointment of this person and go find an independence person. Its not a person thats bringing a lot of baggage to him. As da, ramos also persisted against the innocence of kevin cooper, a death row inmate convicted of killing four people. This, despite a mountain of evidence that shows cooper is innocent including dna evidence that doesnt match cooper to the crime. He has just a terrible history and i cant imagine what miss abrams was thinking to bring someone in like that. Hes the last person that would instill public trust and confidence in this investigation. So far, no word on what will happen with vallejos other highprofile case. The deadly Police Shooting of Sean Monterrosa during a looting call last month. Oakland schools are scheduled to open in two weeks but the district and teachers at odds on how that will happen. The union is making some striking allegation against the school district. Directly attacking the superintendent kyla tramme already for what they call her lack of leadership. It centers around daily instruction time and how much of it will be live and the proposed workday. Ousds update to families ha working ousd teachers for the failure of leadership in the Central Office was outrageous. The union wants a 300 minute workday while the district insists on their regularly contracted 375 to 390 minutes. And you can see category 1 hurricane as it ar asofflor eastern seab thatclosely with that hurricane and there we go as it moves up the eastern seaboard there. As a category 1 storm. And then even further up the northeastern part of the country. As a Tropical Storm possibly. Back at home, were looking live look with our Golden Gate Bridge camera. A foggy start.
