Two officers were shot overnight, one of them has died for the other one looks like its going to survive. The suspect is in custody but it all started when a driver led police on a short car chase before he got out of the car and started running. There are a lot of questions about exactly what happened next at that point but shots ring out and the two officers were hit. Police then sent out to be on the lookout to the entire area in the downtown area here. The suspect was taken into custody a couple hours ago and they found him hiding on a rooftop. The injured officer is expected to be okay. We have not gotten any dedication on the officer yet but we will keep you posted on that news out of seattle. We also discovered the inspectors who visited the school were investigating a complaint about the pool being open in violation of the health directive. The complaint ended up here at the City Attorneys Office and we are told the City Attorney then consulted with the citys top Health Officer who determined that indoor pools can be used for summer camp, including the one at st. Ignatius College Preparatory. That could open up the door for all the other swim teams in the city to practice in the pool again if they can get approved as a summer camp. But coach riley says he is going to proceed with caution with his team. I think we will do the best we can to be smart with any decision we make an make sure the kids safety is most important.
