Well continue our Team Coverage live in Golden Gate Park, and joes about to show you some video, where i dont know, joe, i noticed most of the people in your video did not have masks on, but ill let you tell the story. Reporter well, brian, that is look, the fact is, you are allowed to go outside, you dont always have to wear your mask. Officials have made it clear, if you think youre going to maintain social distancing, you can keep the mask ready, but not also on. Thats what weve seen here, were in Golden Gate Park. Folks are out on their bicycles with their families, again, not always wearing a mask, but the main challenge today is to keep some space between you and your neighbors. People are trying, and not always accomplishing that goal. Much of the green space of Golden Gate Park is taken up with picnickers. Yet, you can see how people are working very hard to maintain social distance. I dont think everybodys succeeding, but ive seen people try, which is the most we can hope for right now. Seems like people are behaving themselves, theres some kind of crowded barbeque picnic areas, but other than that, it seems people are having a great time and being respectful. Also, nowhere near the emptiness weve seen in the last few months. Deloris park is crowded. While the overwhelming majority of folks seem to be trying to keep away from others, some are unsuccessful, not everyone is trying that hard. To keep this in context today, we went around to check the hot spots, the places we knew there would be a volume of people. Again, nowhere near the crowds that we would normally get on memorial day. It was a similar scene at skyline gate in oakland. As you can see, there were plenty of signs to remind all those hikers about the rules which people seem to be following. And the city of san leandro is implementing some new park rules this holiday weekend. Access to the marina park will be respected. People will be able to walk and enjoy some outdoor activities, but play structures and the use of all barbeques will be off limits. The rules will be in place until tuesday morning.
