In Sonoma County there is an issue and the south bay, looking down in san jose with clouds of. We dont have any fog on the roads here. Here is the seen looking back toward mount diablo and heres looking back toward the bay bridge. Temperatures are fine, low to mid 50s which is pretty typical. With these low clouds, pretty much cloudy wherever you go, specifically in the east bay and the north bay. Remember on the maps like this the number tells you how far down on the roadway you can see. Where it says 10 you can see can miles down the road. Where it says threequarters, that is less than a mile and that is where you will run into the trouble spots. I pointed out at the top of the newscast that is often one of the more dramatic looking views to see the fog on the road way. The Golden Gate Bridge is on the front lines of this but most of us are okay in terms of the fog on the road. In the south bay we dont have too much or really any fog on the road down here. But instead they have patches of clear skies in the far south bay and at far southern santa clara county, relatively clear skies over san jose. Thats not the case over the bay bridge or the interior of the bay. Temperatures in the low to mid 50s meaning we feel just fine, like we would expect it to this time of the day, and this term time of the year. If you get a 10 on this map you can see 10 miles down the road. At the top of the hour the readings were down to three quarters of a mile but now one mile for senators and 2 miles in santa rosa. Give yourself extra time on the road. We will have fog burning back by the afternoon and it will come back tomorrow on sunday morning. We have wide spread low grade clouds with fog on the road tomorrow morning. It will burn off sunday afternoon and come back monday which is typical for this time of the year. Lets talk about monday. We have a chance of rain late monday. To find that we just have to look in the pacific were you can see that next storms developing already. We put that in the futurecast and bring it forward. Late monday the leading edge of the rain is coming into Northern California which gets us into monday evening. We have the first line of showers coming through. That is just the beginning with a chance of rain in the forecast monday into tuesday. When we look at the amount of rain to get out of this, adding up the totals, on monday there is an important aspect of this. No rain yet but it is the second half of monday we will be filling in the map with rain. We have much less down into the south. Throughout monday and tuesday we will add small totals. It is light rain at best. But we have to keep a chance of rain going on the second half of monday pretty much throughout the day on tuesday. Daytime highs today, by the way, 10 degrees cooler than yesterday. Only 82 in san jose with 73 in hayward. Daytime highs will make it into the low to mid 80s for much of the east bay. At oakland you can see up to 70 in oakland and we were 82 in oak glen yesterday. 81 in santa rosa and they were 92 yesterday. Everybody gets about a 10 degrees drop for the daytime highs today. That cool down trend will keep going into a small chance of rain monday and tuesday, and we will clear out at the later part of next week. It was actually really toasty yesterday, so i dont mind a little bit of a gradul easing of temperatures. The biggest aspect of the full forecast is the cool down which is what we noticed most about today. We will talk about that more in the second half of the hour when we do this again.
