Retailers are warning that there may soon be a shortage, and clear that places including hospitals and Nursing Homes need to ramp up safety precautions. These assisted living facilities, the Nursing Homes, you absolutely need to take proper precaution business whos allowed in those facilities. Investors are hoping for another strong day today and what a rally yesterday. Stocks staged a record rebound fueled by expectations the central bank will move to cushion the impact of the coronavirus outbreak on the global economy. So the dow soared nearly 1,300 points setting a singleday point record. The nasdaq rallied 384, and the s p was up 136. Facebook will not be part of this years south by southwest festival amid the coronavirus outbreak. It is the second tech giant to pull out of next weeks conference in austin, texas. Nob. More than 20,000 people have signed a petition to cancel the event as the coronavirus continues to spread. So far the festival is still on. The Supreme Court<\/a> declined to take up an appeal challenging a federal ban on bump stocks, devices that enable semiautomatic weapons to fire rapidly like a machine gun. The justices did not comment in declining to review a Lower Court Ruling<\/a> that upheld the ban which took effect nearly a year ago. The Trump Administration<\/a> banned bump stocks after a gunman used the device in a mass shooting in las vegas in 2017 killing 58 people and injuring hundreds more. And apple has agreed to pay as much as 500 million to settle cases claiming it intentionally slowed down older iphones. The company will pay eligible iphone owners about 25 each. But that amount could be reduced if more people than expected file claims. In 2017, consumers said their phones slowed down after they installed Apple Software<\/a> updates. When an acquaintance warned him it could be a scam, he didnt cash the check and reached out to authorities instead. They advised me to just stop all contact. Just not talk to them. Dont respond to them. Reporter thats because con artists often ask victims to send back money only to find out later the check was fake. Employment scams like this one topped the Better Business<\/a> bureaus list of riskiest scams from 2019 with Victims Losing<\/a> an average of 1,500. Why are these employment scams so prevalent . I think theres a lot of people looking for flexible job opportunities. Reporter melissa trumpaur from the bbc says the top ten list includes scams weve seen in the past including fake money orders, romance, and tech support scams. Theres a new one for 2019 cryptocurrency scams. Con artists are reaching out to people by email or social media, offering big returns if they invest in digital funds.
