And the hdline is the warm up. A 4 alarm fire is now contained. Itef0 last night. The fire also destroyed a restaurant building and up stairs residential unit. The smoke was so thick it forced the closure of 280 and caused a power outage in the area. There are no reports of injuries and the cause is under investigation. A driver is in custody and could face charges of attempted murder after driving into a crowd of teenagers. They were hit yesterday near howard avenue and claritin road. A normally quiet residential street turned into a crime scene. Sneakers and clothes on the ground after police crashed into 4 teens on the sidewalk. 2 seriously hurt and rushed injuries. The driver deliberately ran into the group for no reason. Was house sitting and heard a loud crash and the first on the scene with the water going craze echt. He was the one that called 911 and they were face down in the street. Police say the driver took off in a black suv but witnesses tracked him down. Officers arrested the driver shortly after. The victims are all in their early teens. It is so quiet and small, it is chaotic when the block is shut down. The driver was arrested for felony hitandrun and attempted homicide. A 4th case of coronavirus has been confirmed in santa cou. There are at least 70 cases across the country and we hav hs connected to a previous one. Health leaders announced the 4th case of the coronavirus in the community. The woman caught the virus being in the same home as the countys third case. A 65yearold woman suspected who got the virus through community spread. Our third case didnt travel over seas or have known contact with a recent traveler or infected person. It is spreading and we dont know how far or severe. I expect a lot more cases across the country. As concerns of the Community Outbreak increase masks are becoming increasingly challenging to find. Selling out after a one rule per customer. Just in case of a pandemic she has made sure her earthquake kit is an emergency isolation kit. Water, canned food. Things like that. And the third case involves a 65yearold woman with Chronic Health conditions. The woman in the 4th case connected to the 3rd case is in isolation at home. Because of a negative test result the students two roommates were invited to return. Washington governor jay insly declared a state of emergency after the state Health Officials declared the first coronavirus death. He w a man in his 50s with under lying health issues. It is unclear how he contracted the virus. Washington, oregon and california all reporting cases of unknown origin. Fear spreading faster than the virus itself. The South San Francisco costco lines were out the door before doors even opened. Now there are Community Transmission cases people worry about a pandemic reaching the bay area. Empty shelves reaching costco customers trying to buy toilet paper, bottled water, all gone. A supervisor said they had ae they even opened this morning. The valley Water District said it could result in other unsafe consequences. The Water District said they want to move quickly because of the earthquake risks but also move carefully to minimize the impacts down stream. For the last few years levels at Anderson Reservoir have been kept low to minimize earthquakes risks. But now saying even this is too much. We want to get to this project as quickly as possible to bring safety to the community. The district is also concerned about the loss of water supply, flooding, and fish kills that base of the dam and could run dry if the reservoir drains out. I think it is going to be disastrous for the area. She has been coming here since she was a teenager and worries about the loss of the resource. You cant find water near by when that is gone. Water Officials Say the loss of andersons water would be felt but not critically. The disastrous is if the dam fails with water in it.
