In the meantime, pg e is preparing to cut power to more than 250,000 additional people tonight. Now, these counties a little closer to home are gearing up for pg e to flip the switch. Those outages are pushed back to apm for cities including oakland, san jose, lafayette, in fremont. The outages come as a Pivotal Point to the bone dry whipping winds that are expected to roll in tonight and throughout early thursday morning. These events historically are the events that cause the most destructive wildfires in california history. So, we are seeing some of the same conditions that are going to develop. Leaders also reacted a bit declaring a local Emergency Response to the shutoffs. Police departments in the county are beefing up patrols in areas that will be affected by the shutdowns.
