More than 38,000 customers could be affected in san jose, sunny vale and palo alto. Alameda county, nearly 33,000 customers will be forced to go without power, including parts of oakland, livermore and berkeley. Oakland unified school says that ten schools could lose power and could be forced to close. Men lo park, san mateo and Half Moon Bay are some of the cities threatened. In all, nearly 50,000 customers may be left without electricity into the weekend. It would then take up to 48 hours or more to turn the power back on. Temperatures right now cooler compared to yesterday at this time because of that onshore flow kicking in. Already, we started off the day with that patchy fog along the coast and already still seeing that this afternoon across the golden gate. A few areas of fog. So, right now, in concord, looking at 81, oakland, 70, 80. Upper 60s in San Francisco, upper 70s in san jose as well as santa rosa. Winds, right now, looking at light conditions with that onshore flow. Well see the winds start to ramp up starting tonight. Here is the satellite and radar view all because of this low pressure system dropping a week cold front our way. A dry front and that is why temperatures are cooler. Now, this low is going to through a portion of the great basin, what we call the inside slider and well see gusty conditions as we head to the next couple of days. For tonight, again, the wind will start to pick up but watch as we go through wednesday night and into thursday. Thats when you will see the peak wind gusts at 10 00 p. M.
