As we look live outside, the air might be affected by smoke from wild fires in Plumas County andelsewhere in northern california. So lets get over to mary lee. The heat is on this weekend. Thats right. We are talking about the heat also that spare thers alerts. Lets get to the heat. So, heat advisory in effect for most of the bay area due to hot temperatures. You can see that most of the bay area except for the coast, high at the. P in the 80s to the low 100s expected inland. Now the spare the air alert. So the air quality unhealthy for sensitive groups in the east bay and santa clara valleych moderate from the north bay. South central bay, moderate air quality. So we have High Pressure sinking air, trapping lewdants down to the surface and not a lot of that wind to mix everything out. We have fires burning to the north. So, hazy conditions as well with that with the smoke at least in the higher elevations. What chp is doing is diverting traffic off on evelyn. Use surface streets to get back to 85. Commuters may be come out of the south bay using 85 to get over towards 101. You will want to use 237 if you have that option. Try that instead if you are commuting towards 101. We will have a live news crew out at the scene coming up in minutes. But at this point, they are continuing their investigation back to you. Developing news from Alameda County. Two people are reportedly dead after a train struck them in berkeley. The victims were struck by an amtrak san joaquin train after 8 last night near 4th street and bancroft way. There are no reports of injuries among anyone on board the train. Officials say the more than 2000 flights have been delayed or canceled since construction started on saturday. One thing wanted to try to explore in this exhibit is horror not only as an entertainment genre but how it connects to us i think horror has the biological connections you know that idea of being scared of the dark and scared of the other but also it has thal ancult kecks as well. And al llthan 50 props and costumes from some of the most iconic horror films ever made. Like the television from video drone freddie crewingars sweater. The even Michael Myers mask. I think looking at Something Like this, you are seeing you know something that gave you great amounts of joy and fright growing up, or you know perhaps something of your worst nightmares. We often see exclamation of delight. We have the original prop for this film. Reporter that exhibit designers also have set the scene for visitors to experience a little distress as well. That idea setting and sound design, and you know sort of how the layout works for a space can really generate this sense of tension and suspension i love the fact this can be viewed as serious critical look at the world of horror but a love letter to the genre. And in 2017 we had the heat wave heating up to 106 in San Francisco. And and in 2016, 92 in San Francisco in september for those hottest temperatures. Now we are looking in San Francisco temp in the upper 80s. Thats what we did yesterday. And, of course, triple digit heat inland. Here is the reason why. Thats strong ring of High Pressure in place even closer to us. Zero for the ocean breeze actually a light offshore wind. And thats why we are going to be be heating up. The crash happened right around evelyn so they are i did have iing traffic off the freeway. Take surface streets to get back on 85. If you are trying to get to 101 take shoreline or try to take surface streets up to 237 to avoid that. 280 also takes you northbound as well. So, you have options, but right now all lanes are completely shut down. Stick with alternates until they clear that. Traffic is light and is friday so hopefully things will wrap up quickly. The rest of the bay area we have slow and go conditions along 508 westbound heading out of the tracy area towards the Altamont Pass a crash clearing before vas cal road.
