>> hate is not only on the rise -- >> reporter: this president of the naacp says the school's investigation should include a close investigation of how the teacher has treated students of color in the past. >> i am concerned about the discipline record and disciplining children of color, male or female or transgender and seeing if you can find a consistent pattern. >> reporter: has taught art and music since 2012 and his name first surfaced with the unite the right valley in charlottesville when chats were leading to the page. students we spoke to said they are struggling to make sense of it. >> it shows outwardly in some way even though it is private. even though he could be a really nice person his views are morally wrong. >> reporter: we reached out to the teacher several times for comment and he did not respond to those requests. in san jose, kpix 5. after that breaking news in san francisco where a cement troll rollover has rush-hour traffic stuck happening on the northbound 101 ramp near the hospital. kpix 5 is live on the ground where cars are covered and coded in cement. >> reporter: it came from the ramp above, i will step out of the way so we can show you what is happening. we have crews out trying to get 10th street cleared of the gravel and dust and folks that are hosing their cars down. i'm not sure if you can see this there is a gentleman hosing his tesla off. his car was over the underpass and he has pulled it off getting the dust off. we are told that the cleanup which is up on the rent until about 8:00 to get that roadway clear and everything checked out. down here on the city street, there is some gridlock with 10th street closed and ramp access snarled. definitely some evening commute aftermath from this spill. unfortunately a lot of debris and fortunately no one hurt. there are cars covered by debris falling out of that track. no one is hurt and a number of cars are damaged. evening commute is pretty well snarled and, again, the expectation is that all of this will be cleared up by about 8:00 p.m. we are live in downtown san francisco. kpix 5. >> here is a look at how the crash is affecting that commute. while. check out all the red on our traffic map. the evening commute always tells. today, even worse. a suspected carjack her behind bars in alameda county this evening after plowing into a preschool. we are overhead and this is on 86th avenue. officers say the suspects led them on a chase before intentionally slamming into that school. the driver was the only one hurt in the crash. police in sunnyvale are saying that the army vet who plowed his car into a group of pedestrians was on his way to bible study at the time. kpix 5 is standing by with some new information about the c eporter: we arlening nfisd the man's lap top and gone through his social media accounts. nothing stands out but there were plenty of witnesses that see him acting erratically. today, we learn from the chief that by the time they got the suspect back to the station for interrogation he was acting normally again. he goes by the spot all the time and was just around the corner when the carnage unfolded. speed back -- >> we were near here. it could've been us. >> reporter: the chief confirmed there were two things the suspect had in the car. food. >> we don't know what his motives were. the only thing we can confirm is that on the day of the incident he had picked up some food and was on his way to deliver the food to his bible study group. the only weapon he possessed was a disassembled and inoperable shotgun that was located in the trunk of his vehicle. >> reporter: served in the army from 2004-2006 and was deployed to iraq. he had no criminal history and worked as a federal contractor for the department of defense as a finance analyst. his family tells us that episodes involving yelling and paranoia and suffering from ptsd after returning from iraq. >> he is suffering from ptsd and we are still working to confirm that information. >> reporter: the most severely injured victim was a 13-year- old girl which was a seventh grader. the district says they have counselors and a psychologist on campus if needed. at the end of the day she says she will pick up her child as long as she can. >> it makes me nervous. i would probably be more comfortable picking her up i do not trust drivers around here. >> reporter: at the crash site a makeshift memorial continues to grow. the other six victims are in moderate to serious condition. this man feels for the suspect but anyone with a mental illness must be vigilant with their meds and treatment. >> you have to have those meds. >> reporter: the suspect will be arraigned tomorrow in court on 8 charges of attempted murder. they put in a request for a jailhouse interview but he said no. kpix 5. weeks after accidentally shooting himself in the head eight 4-year-old oakland boy has taken another huge step on the road to recovery. >> and you say grandpa?
