Indiana state police say that manuel zabala had a blood alcohol level three times the legal limit when he was arrested over the weekend. Police say he plowed into a car which was pulled over on the side of interstate 70 in marion county. Edwin jackson a linebacker for the colts was killed as was his uber driver. Here in the bay area, San Mateo County says that zabala was arrested and convicted twice for drunk driving in2005. He served another stint for drug possession. I dont know any details. Santa clara county voters will decide whether the judge who presided over a high profile rape trial will remain on the bench. County supervisors have agreed to put the fate of judge aaron persky on a june 5th ballot after a group collected enough signatures for recall. He sentenced brock turner to six months in jail for sexually assaulting an unconscious woman outside a frat party in 2015. That sparked a push to remove him from the bench. But some experts worry that this could influence other judges to worry about making popular decisions instead of following the law. Judge persky was only a judge in the criminal court in palo alto for 17 months. And during that short window of time, he issued a number of really egregious decisions. It is generally utilized and always utilized for judges who have egregious track records on the bench who have abused the law. This judge has not abused anything or anyone. The county estimates that the special election could cost between 500,000 and 1 million. We have all heard about crews rescuing cats from trees but in the Contra Costa County sheriffs departments case, they spotted a calf with its head stuck in a tree. The departments air crew was training in round valley last week but quickly set the chopper down and raced to the rescue ripping bark off the tree to free it. Here, cow. Be nice now. One woman who sued the fast food chain in 2015 for wages owed claimed she still hasnt been paid. In milpitas, the milpitas buffet still hasnt paid a 400,000 judgment.
