And they came here and found several of those shell casings still on scene, investigating. And this freeway here. These southbound lanes will be shut down for the next several hours. Chp officers tell me, anywhere between 1 to 3 hours. So that will affect your morning commute. Essentially, going to exit here and get right back on the on ramp, after this closure. Right after it happened. So its not impacting the northbound side. But its definitely going to impact drivers who use southbound 280, right now, not a major backup. It is still very early. And it is a holiday. So were not seeing as significant of a backup as we would typically see for the monday commute. But you will need to add a few extra minutes onto your morning commute. You can see that traffic starts to slow, right as you transition onto 280 from southbound 101. There are Message Boards up that are warning drivers of this closure along 280 at alemany boulevard. Again, its only going to take you a few minutes to get through that stretch. As the commute picks up it will take just a little longer. We will continue to monitor this. Again, chp, hoping to have all lanes reopened by 7 00 a. M. Of course, that is a sliding scale. We will let you know if that is expected to last any longer. That is when the government would run out of money to operate and could shut down. Meantime, the president , defending himself after his alleged derogatory comments about third world countries. In the bay area alone, there are 19 reported flu deaths, including six in contra costa county, and 5 in santa clara county. Theyre diverting all traffic off at alemany and then allowing traffic to get back onto 280, using that alemany on ramp. But this will take you a few extra minutes. And you can see our sensors, all blacked out where that closure is in place. Northbound 280, you can use that. No problem. Flowing right at the limit. We arent seeing significant delays just yet in either direction. That is get good news there. Well continue to monitor the situation. And were also dealing with fog.
