And thats why he started slashing water and tried to, you know, tried to yell at it to get away. Reporter but the sea lion persisted and attacked. He yelled at it and then the sea lion came up and bit him on the arm and he used his arm to push it away and it went away and he never saw it again after that. Reporter that swimmer a man in his 50s bloodied and injured made his way into the cove where he was spotted by boaters on the great goose a rented sailboat headed back to sausalito. Saw two swimmers and then only one. Turns out it was him fighting with a you said it was a sea lion . Um, and so we picked him up and he wanted us to bring him back to shore but im, like, that he was bleeding a lot. Yeah. The back is soaked. Reporter sfpds marine unit heard the coast guard call and had the grey goose drop the victim off on their dock. In a stroke of luck, all sfpd marine unit officers were recently emtcertified. We saw it looked like a bite wound on his right upper arm. And it was uncontrolled bleeding when he came on our docks. The patchy fog again in the forecast. Also, an 8th day of spare the air alert because of the particulate matter in the air. Its bad for sensitive groups. Limit your time outdoors. No woodburning stoves and fireplaces. The winds are going to shift. They are going to start to get breezy tonight. Right now, eastnortheast winds in oakland at 6. But calm throughout the south bay and east bay, also very calm throughout the north bay which is why the fog is forming and why that haze is just lingering. Health Officials<\/a> are going on the record about radiation risks for the first time. We recognize that there are a lot of people in the general public who have concerns about their cell phones and why using a cell phone is safe. Reporter this is a big first for the

Public Health<\/a>. Its releasing guidelines about harmful cell phone radiation and how you can avoid it. When you sleep, you keep the cell phone at least arms length from your body. And also, not carrying your cell phone in your pocket, having it either in your purse or not carrying it with you. Reporter the
Research Suggests<\/a> cell phones could increase our risk for brain cancer and tumors, low sperm count, headaches, impaired memory, hearing and sleep. Currently, we are not doing a good job in regulating radiation from these devices. Reporter the ucberkeley doctor says this is a long time coming. He is partially responsible for bringing the information to light. He sued the department of
Public Health<\/a> for refusing to release information about the dangers of cell phone radiation back in 2009. He won. People are being injured and harmed by the delay in having this information accessible to them.
