and final suspect. in san jose, devin fehely, kpix 5. the search is still on for one man wanted in the lundy avenue killing. two other suspects have been shot and killed by san jose police the past two nights. last night police were tailing a suspect they believe he had a woman in his car and that she was in danger of being killed. he tried to get away but crashed. as he ran, police say he reached for his waistband and an officer shot and killed him. on sunday night police tracked down the first suspect at a strip mall on center road near capitol expressway. surveillance video shows the moments leading up to that deadly confrontation. it's not clear if the officers seen in this video are the ones who fired the fatal shot. san jose police say the suspect in that incident pointed a gun at officers and they shot him. the shooting last night was the fourth by san jose police in nine days. questions about excessive force after video surfaces showing a swarm of officers were subduing a on market street between police and a black suspect that does have a lot of people talking worldwide on social media. >> you're on his prosthetic leg. >> reporter: the video is making its rounds on so is that. police say and one eyewitness we talked with confirms that the man was waving around heavy sticks he used as crutches, appeared mentally disturbed, and was fighting back even after arrested, rather taken to a hospital for a mental observation, later released. the incident is under under investigation. the woman who shot the video thinks this is part of a bigger problem. >> this of a daring rescue right now, trying to save a man's life. they left a short time ago from moffat field. they're headed 900 miles out to sea. we saw them loading up this c130 with the supplies and the rescue team this afternoon. they're attempting to rescue an american working on a vehicle carrier. he needs immediate medical treatment but we're not told exactly what it's for. the rescue team apparently will parachute in to the ocean, board the vessel, and get him the care he needs. we'll be following the progress of the mission over the next several hours. tonight the mystery of a missing paddle border in lake tahoe is solved. the visitor from poland was found safe in missouri. last thursday marin was reported missing. tips from from people led investigators. he returned the ore to the rental show and continued on his vacation, not knowing he touched off a massive search. state health officials confirm tonight a second case of the plague has been contracted by a recent visitor to yosemite national park. the plague of course carried by wild rodents and their fleas. earlier this month a child contracted the disease after visiting yosemite. yosemite has closed campgrounds as they try to treat the area with insect icide. 17-year-old kiona murphy was gunned down near mt. eden high school on august 4th. police say three men approached murphy and a female friend, exchanged words, then shot murphy. today police released the sketches of those suspected. they're said to be 17 to 18 years old. police say after the shooting the trio took off in a silver suv and they've not been time. a new high security wing for the west contra costa detention facility in richmond is expected to be approved tonight by the board of supervisors. community groups tonight will make a last ditch effort to stop the $89 million project. they say that the money would be better spent on health and other civil services. the first round of funding for a suicide barrier on the golden gate bridge is expected to be approved this week. the $355,000 will go to hire a consultant that will help construction bidders better understand the complex project. the bridge district expects to award a
