Now, we did have the Oakland Fire Department about this. They say at this point, they have their investigators in the park now trying to determine a cause of origin. Oakland fire cannot confirm this is a fireworks related fire but hikers in the park say that is what happened. Let me give you a few numbers. Two alarms. They called in oakland fire and cal fire who brought in crews from as far away as marin county and a helicopter to knock the fire down. It is surrounded by homes in Joaquin Miller park. It has been contained at three acres. We spoke to a battalion chief and he says at this point, there is no danger. No damage to any homes. And as far as he knew, no injuries at all to any crews on the ground. We have some interviews with neighbors who actually talked to those hiker. After being shut out from the public, Martins Beach in halfmoon bay is open. As mark kelly explains, it is just in time for the forth. Reporter for chris, summer and Martins Beach go hand in hand. Back in 2008, billionaire koslov bought the property around Martins Beach and closed the gate in 2010 blocking people like irene bryant from the one public road leading to the beach. His lawyers said their client had ever right to close the beach because the land was private before california was even a state. The controversy over that gate made it all the way up to the Governors Office who said it must stay open to the public. Last fall, a superior court judge agreed with the governor and ordered this gate to stay open for the public to enjoy Martins Beach again. On this july 4, they did. The area had to be evacuated before the bomb squads called in to detonate it. Fire in the hole the sound sent the birds flying frantically. Soon after, the beach was back open for visitors. Low clouds coming over the peninsula that will affect the Fireworks Show at aquatic park. We have low pressure deepening offshore and High Pressure has eased up a bit. While inland will remain mostly clear, temperatures will drop a degree a day. That is what we have been getting. It is still plenty warm inland. But they were about a degree cooler than yesterday. Nothing dramatic. Just the low pressure off the Pacific Northwest will deepen a little bit and cool things down a touch. We will show you this again. This is the forecast of what things should look like in a couple of hours. As of right now, you can see the low clouds spreading inland. By 9 00 tonight, it is pretty socked in. Over San Francisco.
