Some of the sights and sounds from this years himalayan fair in the east bay. This has been a berkeley tradition for 41 years, drawing together Community Members from tibet, nepal, india, bhutan and pakistan. The annual festival at Live Oak Park not only showcases a variety of dancers and performers, a lot of food. Theyve got vendors, they got arts and crafts, extremely color full. Whoa some of the money raised at the bazaar goes to support charities in the himalayan region. Well, fireworks over the santa cruz boardwalk. Thats what im talking about. Yeah thats where the giant dipper. Guess what . Celebrating its 100th birthday. The display is part of a summer long tribute to the historic ride. It is the oldest roller coaster in california and one of the oldest still running in the country. The giant dipper opened back on may 17th, 1924, took 327,000ft of lumber and 63,000 pounds of steel track to build the half mile track. Its the, as we mentioned, one of the oldest ones in california still running very cool. All right, giant dipper, i have been on it many times. I enjoy it and i prided myself the first time i was able at the crest to put it up, and i never, i never, ever changed. Its faster than you think. You get on it. Youre like, wait a minute. Yeah, what did i just get into that once youre in . Yeah, its too late. Yeah. You know, and nice weather for the fireworks tonight. Not too windy, but for other parts of the bay area. Going to be dealing with a little more wind during the afternoon tomorrow. The reason why those east bay valleys ridge cooled off today. The ocean air conditioning on overdrive. Right now in san jose, 59 degrees, partly cloudy skies. Well see a few patches of low clouds into the morning. Right now as you head over to walnut creek 55. Still, the southwest wind at 12mph out at the airport. Sfo right now seeing 57 degrees, a little low cloud cover there near san mateo, and patchy low clouds around San Francisco 53 degrees. So tomorrow morning, patchy low clouds, areas of drizzle possible. Speaking of santa cruz, down along the south coast and parts of the south bay clearing, but turning windy for sunday afternoon and then a brief early week warm up on the way in the 7day forecast. Look at the wind right now into Solano County that continues to bring in that marine air, but its the wind on the coast will be watching for the afternoon. These areas in red showing up bodega bay, sonoma coast, marin county coastline could see those gusts 30 to 40mph. And also San Francisco and down the peninsula for the afternoon. By mid afternoon and evening wind speeds starting to pick up a little bit like today, but more intense in terms of those peak gusts around the north bay coastline as we wrap up the weekend. So look at the effects on the low cloud cover. Its going to act a bit like a leaf blower. Its going to mix in some drier air and start to clear the low clouds. Once we pass the morning hours, theres a drizzle near santa cruz, but more sunshine as we wrap up the weekend. But that wind out of the west northwest will likely limit our temperatures from warming up a whole lot for the afternoon bay to breakers starting off in the low 50s with patchy low clouds approaching 60 around midday. And in terms of the rest of the bay area low 50s to start with the areas of low clouds to the south and then sunshine and increasing wind heading towards the afternoon weekend temperatures inland, wrapping things up in the mid 70s. Still 60s closer to San Francisco and oakland now for monday and tuesday. Kind of a two day warmup for those inland valleys. Mid 80s around the tri valley over to Solano County, 80s around san jose, down towards morgan hill. Then temperatures cool off again as we get towards wednesday and thursday. The reason why High Pressure really cant set up and warm up our temperatures. A whole lot will be systems passing by to the north. Doesnt look like its going to bring showers here at times. Perhaps for the sierra as we head into that memorial day weekend right now. But a little bit of a cool down as we approach next weekend. So some wind for San Francisco tomorrow afternoon and less wind for our inland valley should allow temperatures to climb a little bit by midweek and then trending cooler again as we head towards next weekend. Not too shabby. No Anthony Flores joining us now for sports. And those San Francisco giants suddenly looking explosive. Thats right a great day for the giants especially at the plate. The giants had a season high in hits and runs against the rockies. Luis matos sparked the offensive explosion today for the orange and black stick around. Sports is next are lighting up the scoreboard with a season high two touchdowns worth of runs against the rockies, a milestone game for luis matos. Bottom one with two on, matos strokes the deep three. He had three of the giants season high 18 hits in the game. Now we move to the bottom of the eighth with the bases loaded. Matos rips a two run single. He had a career high six rbi. He sets the franchise record with 17 rbi in his first six games of the season. With at least one plate appearance, the giants hammer the rockies 14 four behind an historic performance from luis matos. Man, thats a lot of rbis, it just seems like hes tracking the ball. You know, every time up and aggressive. You know hes wearing that Left Center Field gap out. Its like player of the week stuff that hes doing right now. All right. The as in kc to take on the royals down two in the second seth brown crushes one to center. That ties the game at deuce. But the royals answer with some muscle of their own. Kyle isbell goes yard. And the royals go on to beat the as five three. Oakland has lost seven in a row to golf. Third round of the pga championship. Former calvert Colin Morikawa with the all around good putt. Get in there. He shot a four under 67. Hes at 15 under par. Hes tied for the lead with Xander Schauffele heading into tomorrows final round. Catching freedom moving down the center of the track. But wayne lucas has got it. Seize the gray wins the preakness. Oh i love that energy. Seize the gray with jockey jaime torres holds off Kentucky Derby winner mystic dan to win the preakness stakes. 88 year old hall of fame trainer D Wayne Lukas wins the preakness for the seventh time. On the pitch. The quakes hosting orlando city. It was scoreless until the 89th minute. Jacqueline scores the only goal of the match. Orlando city beat san jose one. Nothing the quakes have. Announcer and now a message from former President Donald Trump from his new home, the barricades outside of a manhattan courthouse. [ laughter ] [ cheers and applause ] greetings, everyone. And thank you for coming to visit me in my cage at the zoo. Im really enjoying these postcourt press conferences in this very weird and depressing hallway. I dont like being in court because they say very mean things about me while i am trying to sleep. [ laughter ] but i love being out here in the hallway outside court. Daring judge to imprison me. He gave me a gag order. I said that sounds like a challenge on rupaul. [ laughter ] but you know, in many ways court has been great for me. Its been very eyeclosening. [ laughter ] unfortunately, at the end of this trial it looks like im getting a very harsh sentence and being sent to a horrible place i do not want to go to. The white house. [ laughter ] i do not want to go back to the white house but it appears people want to send me there. Why . I dont know. I couldnt tell you. For me much better to not win and say it was rigged and then get very rich raising money to stop the steal and you never have to do president again. I like that a lot. [ laughter ] we should do that. But now my defense in this trial is about to begin on monday. And trust me, i would love to testify. Im not afraid to testify at all. Im just not going to out of fear. [ laughter ] you see, they do a terrible thing when you testify, which is they write it down and we dont like that. That was a juror. Did you see her face . Everyone just saw her face, and now her life is over, folks. My people are going to screenshot her face and dox her to hell. We love to dox. Got to pull the kids out of school, sweetie. [ laughter ] pull the kids out of school. They call her juror 9. But to me shes like a 6 maybe. [ laughter ] oh, get over it. Now, a lot of people are asking about my vp. We love to say vp. Vp like veep with elaine from seinfeld. She cant dance. But im not going to announce my vp pick just yet. In many ways it will be determined by the winner of the jake paulmike tyson fight. So well be watching that very closely. [ laughter ] but i have invited a few names from my short bus i mean my short list. [ laughter ] to come to court and do a little dance for me. Theyre supposed to be running the country but instead theyre sitting in porn court hoping ill smile at them. Its really sad. Its very sad. First weve got South Carolina senator tim scott. Yeah [ cheers and applause ] thats right. Senator tim scott in the hizzouse. And im here to help trump win the black vote. Specifically my vote. No other black votes because black people do not like me. Its true. Im more popular than you among blacks. Which is really saying something. People have called my support of trump humiliating. But trust me, i am my own man. When donald trump says jump i dont say how high. I say here comes the jump i was going to do anyway. [ laughter ] next of course we have a total sweetheart and frankly kind of a hottie boombati. Its south dakota governor kristi noem. Nobody move or the puppy gets it im kidding. Its a fake dog. But its a real gun. [ laughter ] you know, kristi could be an interesting pick for vp. Because on one hand she shot a dog, which you really cant do. Dont shoot dogs, folks. She jumped the shark when she shot the dog. Fonzie. But on the other hand, she shot a dog. Which is pretty awesome. I kill goats too. Okay. Youre making it worse, sweetie. Kristi noem, everybody. And finally, my last and favorite choice is a man i cant stop talking about. In my rallies. Its the late great hannibal lecter. [ laughter ] [ applause ] there he is. Look at him. I keep calling him late and great even though hes not dead, hes not great, and hes not real. But i think he would really scare everybody at the border, right . Can anyone else see him or is it just me . [ laughter ] okay. Get him out of here. Were done. Hes giving me pence vibes. I dont like that. [ laughter ] well, i should probably wrap this up because its almost summer. And i promise its going to be the summer of trump. Youre going to get that trump espresso. [ cheers and applause ] so many fun things to look forward to. Ill be selling more trump bibles. But this summer im doing jewish bible as well. They call it torah. Do you love bible but think jesus was just a regular guy . Then pick up trump torah. [ laughter ] and then of course im going to be doing another january 6th, this time in july. Going to be fun. You see all those guys back at the capitol but this time in shorts. [ laughter ] and finally, just remember, if youre tired about hearing all of my trials, all youve got to do is vote for me and it will all go away. [ laughter ] so in the words of my hero and mentor the late great hannibal lecter, live from new york its saturday night announcer its saturday night live with
