Filling us in on unfinished business. Looking back on the last few months of bay area proud stories i notice there are a couple about people preparing for something big. I can now tell you how those big moments turned out. Lets start with bob daigle, named to team usa in the World Championship sport of dog ability, fantastic in itself. Get this. Bob is 72 years old at least twice as old as any other member of the team. Bob works crazy with his dog, blue, on the ability course and himself in the gym overcoming injuries. He and his dog just got back from the republic where competition was held and not winning any medals, he said they performed great. The interesting thing, people say are you nervous . I was nervous the week before, day before, i walked the course and said this is what i was going to do and knew exactly what i was going to do. When i got up there there was no trepidation or anxiety, this is what i will do. We got this because i knew she had the skills. Something else bob told me blew me away. You would think at 72, he was thinking about winding down, not bob, he said the best part of the championship was learning techniques he is taking away to use in his training. Someone else was zooloo, who had a big culture to take to burning man. Problem was just a week before it had to be done he broke his hand. He would not have finished except artists flocked to where he was working to do the work he couldnt. They got the sculpture called farmer the rigger done and made it to burning man. It was amazing and huge sigh of relief to see the sun set behind the sculpture like i had been envisioning for months and having that celebratory moment with my crew and having that drink that said we did it. Reporter he said this experience isnt over yet and the farmer has garnered him a lot of attention as an artist and the sculpture will travel to miami later this year to be shown off. It opens up a part of their life again sometimes you have to hide in prison to love something and loves you back. It gives them a responsibility and purpose on the outside that will keep them from reoffending. Dogs helping with recidivism. That was a fun picture, too, looked like they were having a good time. Jeff, it is definitely fall outside. Turn on the heater . I know. It was kind of like that moment, do we click on that heater out there . It was beautiful no matter where you were across the bay area, the blue skies and chilly temperatures. Lets get a look outside in walnut creek. Here we go. You can see unlimited visibility out here, so nice, currently 67 in walnut creek. We will get to the 50s later on under mostly clear skies and that will help numbers tomorrow morning drop again colder. The thing were also tracking here is this cold blast of air that will stay with us certainly as we head through tomorrow hoping to drop those temperatures. Tomorrow morning, we will be back down in 40s across the bay area and south bay, 45, and i think everybody will need some sort of jacket. In the north by a heavier jacket will serve you better, a couple layers. 49 and 42. We have another fall day coming in. Look across the south bay, kind of unbelievable you think about it. This time last week we were dealing with recordsetting heat in the 90s. This is a huge departure, with what we dealt with most recently, 68 in san jose. 64 in oakland, danville, 67, a few 70s towards antioch, right up against the coastline, cool 50s in Half Moon Bay and redwood city, 67. San francisco, 64 in the mission and north bay and more in mill valley at 65 and 67 in santa rosa and 68 in napa. Weather just like this all the way through the weekend, im not really seeing big changes in those temperatures. The reason why we will see another reinforcing shot of cold air from this latest storm that will drop down across the rest. Ers the problem with this is its moving over the land and there is absolutely no rain around this, this is a dry storm. It will Conveyor Belt in the wind. Because of this wind pattern were seeing, were telling you a chance of maybe a fire weather watch, now that has been issued from tomorrow night through tomorrow evening through the north bay and south bay and 15 to 40 and some highest peaks could get up to 50, humidity, 15 to 25 . Mountains 500 feet and above will see the top gusts. With this fire weather watch and a few spotty rain chances recently a lot of you are thinking, okay, what about getting a storm system in here . I want to show you what were seeing in the next 14 days, promising for the west not necessarily for us. Look at the storm track here, Atmospheric River that will line up the next four days and 2 to 8 inches of rain in the pacific northwest. We are on drier side of it. There is a possibility we could see that rain line closer to us and i will continue to monitor through the next several days and give you those updates. In san francisco, 60s, no big storms the next several days, the wind is the thing we are watching out for this weekend. More updates at 5 30 tonight. Thank you, jeff.
