Thanks so much for joining us. Im laura garcia. And im marcus washington. Mike is keeping an eye on the roads this morning. First lets start with a look at the forecast, kari. It looks great for today. Were starting out with some chilly temperatures, but we are going to see a nice little warmup as we go throughout the day with a touch warmer afternoon. Were going to see more weather like this going into the weekend with lots of sunshine, but with that sunshine comes more dry weather. Lets get a look at what were expecting around the bay. Napa reaching 66. San francisco reaching 62 and 66 in concord this afternoon. So all quiet weather here. How is it looking for the commute, mike . Well, that quiet weather obviously helps with the conditions for the commute as the map will show you green sensors everywhere. I am watching oakland, unusual not unusual but about once a week chp assists with Traffic Control around the construction zone. This morning theyve been called to southbound 880 around 23rd. You have more on that. Thats right, mike. That breaking news for you this morning flames forcing people from their apartments overnight. This is in a downtown San Francisco high rise. Take a look at it here. Today in the bays Cierra Johnson is live in the citys financial district. Whats going on . What happened . Reporter good morning. Yes, were still wait williing exactly what caused the fire. If you take a look at the building you can actually see where it was charred, that black streak going down the middle of the building is where the flames impacted it. We do have video from the citizens app of what played out earlier, what crews saw when they arrived on scene. The call coming in before 2 00 this morning. Multiple residents were evacuated during this incident and others were actually asked to shelter in place inside of their unit inside of the building. Right now that fire reaching three alarms. It has been knocked down but, as you can imagine, a very scary note for folks inside of this building. Take a look at one of those residents describe what it was like to endure the fire. Thinking it was not real until i realized it was real. We have the minimum layer on top of us to not get too cold. Everything seems to be under control now. Reporter we have also learned from fire marshals on scene there were no sprinklers in the building and that did cause the fire to get a little bit of a head start and spread to other units. But the building is up to code and all the other safety features did work. Back here live this is what folks in this building are seeing as several other units inside of the building that were damaged. Were being told by San Francisco fire that two people inside of the building were injured, but they were treated on scene by paramedics. You can still see some of the flashing lights behind me, working to pin point exactly what caused the fire. As soon as we have that information we will bring you both on air and online. Also with the lack of fog we have cold temperatures settling in so were going to be in the low 40s as you head out the door. A little bit warmer this afternoon. Mike, how is it looking around the bay for the commute . That shot for dublin we couldnt see all those cars yesterday. We see them now. Crisp and clear out there and clear is the key word. Clear for visibility but the shot for fremont yesterday for much of the morning we couldnt see from this camera. We can only see clouds and a little fog there this morning. Very nice flow of traffic just north of tesla with no delays for the nimitz. Something else we didnt see yesterday is frank. Good morning. I am Frank Holland from cnbc. Lets get down to business. Stocks are set to start off lower as rising Coronavirus Infections and new restrictions. A lot of concern about our economic recovery. As we go to our microclimates in the south bay expect the high in san jose to reach 65 degrees. Thats about normal for this time of year with upper 60s in gilroy today. Well see some upper 60s for concord. Oakland reaching 65 and along the coast were mostly looking at some low 60s here, too. San francisco 64 degrees. The Mission District and the north bay also in the 60s. So not a wide range in temperatures. Were all pretty much feeling the same thing under the sunshine and the light wind with some dry weather moving in. We are going to continue to see this dry pattern even with some storm systems and some rain moving across the pacific northwest. All of it fizzles out before it gets here. Were not going to see any showers from those systems. Just a reminder that we are in an extreme drought for parts of the north bay. You can see from santa rosa over toward spots like concord and livermore were in a severe drought and we do have a moderate drought for the south bay. So we do need some rain, but we dont see it here at least over the next seven days. It looks like even into thanksgiving were staying dry but notice the temperatures will reach into the 60s but it will feel nice during those afternoons, some cool mornings ahead. And, mike, getting out the door, heaters might be on on the way to work. Maybe a hot beverage in the cup holder. Remember they are hot so keep them in the cup holder.
