Police are also asking people to please stay away from a favorite halloween hot spot. Theyre asking you stay away from the castro district. More on how people are celebrating this unconventional covid halloween tonight at 11 00. And its feeling pretty warm for halloween for almost november. Rob mayeda joining us now to explain. Rob, whats going on here . Usually were dodging rain drops. Normally halloween i like to say is our gateway into our storm season. But were not seeing that this weekend. 80s for highs most of the day tomorrow. A chance we could see some rain chances towards the end of the seven day forecast. Closer look at that coming up in a few minutes. But lets talk about how warm it is outside right now. Youve still got numbers in the upper 70s around concord, 73 san jose, you just saw San Francisco. No fog, not much wind either, 66 degrees as you can see how skies are mostly clear across the bay. A bit hazy in walnut creek where its still 77 degrees and san jose more clear skies and 73. So speaking of the hazy conditions, not a lot of wind, High Pressure in control of our weather. So were back into the moderate range for our air quality. Not a spare the air day tomorrow just the air youve probably begin to notice a bit more smoke creeping in. Also upper level smoke coming in from the creek fire burning near the sierra. Keep in mind the time change. Weve highlighted the new sunrise time as your clocks go back one hour tonight. Temperatures in the 40s and 50s. And as we head towards the afternoon tomorrow, may feel a bit more like summer especially if youre in concord and san jose. There you see some of the upper levels clouds and smoke coming in from the east. 88 tomorrow, San Francisco, a warm finish to the weekend. Heres what we hope will be developing as we head to next weekend, one of our longrange models showing you some rain. While were trying not to get too dpieted because both of the longrange models are latching onto this idea. Whats going to have to happen is the ridge of High Pressure starts to gradually weaken. Not so much between now and wednesday but by friday we begin to see much cooler temperatures, things turning breezy. And you can see how that system flies through saturday into sunday. So that is what were seeing here. Now, we promise the two week outlook. Here it is. That is the two week outlook. Finally seeing a little bit of green on this map which would actually suggest slightly better than average chances for finding above average rain for parts of interior northern california. Were certainly going to shift to a much cooler pattern we think starting next weekend and possibly taking us through the middle of november. So maybe a more optimistic seven day forecast moving forward. San francisco dropping out of the 70s and yes stay tuned. Could be much cooler inland, too. 70 and 60s for now. Cooler and at least the storm door slowly trying to open, something were going to be watching closely as we go through the week. But in the meantime its a warm halloween evening and a warm finish to this weekend and first day of november. Lets send it back to you. Rob, did you have trouble finding that rain graphic with the drops coming down . I had to do some looking around. It took a while. Had to see if we still had those. Yeah, havent used it in a while.
