We got the fires burning, and weve got hope down the road. Heres rob mayeda. Finally some good news from the weather department. I know there hasnt seemed to be much since midaugust, but, yeah, the sevenday forecast still trending in the direction we like. Cooler temperatures and a chance of rain. We wont see that, though, for the big game tomorrow, the nfl on nbc bay area. Weve had to adjust the temperatures up a little bit. You can see there into the mid80s around kickoff time because downtown san jose tomorrow will climb into the upper 80s during the day. Then well see temperatures through the 70s as the game goes on. Of course all the action here on nbc bay area tomorrow as the 49ers take on the Philadelphia Eagles. Some smoke may be early on. It wont be above 200 aqi, but youre about to see here in our futurecast we may see a similar pattern to what we had today. Notice those areas of unhealthyr around the north bay and east bay. Th during the day tomorrow, i think the worst of the air quality obviously closer to the glass fire in the north bay, contra costa county, the inland portions of the east bay and trivalley. But notice the fiveday air quality trend also moving in the direction we like. We begin to see some improving conditions. Last spare the air day right now looks to be tuesday but even those numbers down from what we had today. Temperaturewise, 66 degrees in san jose. 93 degrees a bit earlier. 100 degrees today around the trivalley. In San Francisco, 58 degrees. High earlier, 77. So patches of low clouds returning to the coast for the morning. Some areas of smoke. I think the winds are going to back off a little bit. You might notice that more with those orange and red sunrise views looking off to the east, and our highs tomorrow, while cooler than we had today, we had to bump up these numbers a little bit, especially around the inland east bay. Upper 80s near san jose. 70s for San Francisco. Low 80s into oakland. Hurricane marie will continue to encounter cooler waters but the moisture from this storm is one piece of the puzzle as we go through the week. Notice how that moisture makes its way up to the north, gets drawn into this weather system approaching the coast. As the two merge, thats going to give us the recipe for some rain across the Pacific Northwest starting as early as late thursday on the Northern California coastline around eureka. Then friday and saturday, right there is the big pattern change. Thats going to be better news for air quality and cooling temperatures, which will help things out on the fire lines. But wouldnt it be nice if we could see this from friday into saturday . You can see especially up around the north bay, both of the long rain weather models still in agreement. Again, this is 168hour forecast, so were going to have to watch this as we get closer. But the encouraging trend is both of thmedium range models sh showing the same. Encouraging signs in the forecast. Notice San Francisco staying mild. Hazy skies. Should start to see better air quality as we approach the middle part of the week. Speaking of the middle part of the week, you can see our temperatures dropping through the 70s and low 80s inland with rain chances now, i think, as early as friday maybe for areas north of santa rosa. That could get started as early as thursday. Finally some good news, we hope, in that Weather Forecast as we head towards next weekend. Its been a long time coming. We do need that rain and cooler temperatures. Thats the way things are shaping up right now approaching next weekend. Terry, back to zblu ayou. All right, rob. Thanks very much.
