We know it was planned a couple of weeks ago. Now the organizers for the rally were calling for a response today. It has been a peaceful response. That viral video, two people on fourth of july painting over the city approved black lives matter mural in martinez. At least a portion of it here in front of the superior courthouse. Those two people are facing vandalism charges for the act. We got a chance to speak to one of the organizers for todays event talking about the importance of being here today. So we are here because black lives matter. We need to stand up and have Police Accountability that is the underlying real issue we are facing. It is important for me to speak the truth on what is going on and i really think that there is a little bit of change. Just doing something. Giving hope. Taking a live look from the chopper. Alameda county getting the word today. Outdoor dining called off in the county and it happened really quick. Marianne. Reporter there are still people dining outdoors even though the state has placed Alameda County on the watch list because of a recent increase in covid19 cases. Today the county Public Health department issued this statement saying the magnitude of the change is above what would be extended as a result of the countys expanded testing and we have been placed on the states monitoring list. Once the county is on the monitoring list for three Straight Days it could be subject to state imposed restrictions and enforcement. Alameda county found out friday they didnt have state approval.
