They are just its its almost its comforting, but its heartbreaking its beautiful its great and that was only halfway through it oh, yeah. Jimmy is just yeah. Its fantastic but we love all of those guys, so theyre on the show tonight, as well as Christian Slater, who has a new show on usa tuesdays at 10 00. And honey, youll like it. Its like season two of dirty john. Its a real oh, im in. Jimmy yep. And then our music tonight, shes unbelievable and sia is on the show tonight yeah she has a Motion Picture called music. And the songs called together. And sia is one i wish you know, i miss seeing these people and being in front of these singers. cause its people like sia that and musicians will know what im talking about she almost doesnt need a microphone when shes performing shes so good and like, projecting, and its like, wow its powerful. And im always like, wow, are we even using the mic . cause she fills up the whole room and i remember even her doing chandelier, i want to say, and i was like, youre not going to hit those notes. It was like [ whistling i cant even whistle it, what she was singing. Chandelier and she hit all the notes. And i was like, ah she is just amazing. So what a great show tonight and thank you so much, again, for watching lets get to some news well, you guys, its another rough week for President Trump though at this point, i can just say, well, you guys, its another week for President Trump. Cnn just released a new poll yesterday. And it doesnt look too good for the president. President trumps Approval Rating is the lowest its been since january of last year thats according to a new cnn poll that shows the president slipping amid a chaotic week only 38 approve of the job hes doing that is down seven points since just last month. Jimmy ouch right now, the only thing lower than trumps Approval Rating is his underground bunker 38 , to put that in perspective, more people approved of lays cappuccino flavored potato chips. Cappuccino flavored potato chips. Incidentally, 38 is the same ratio of chips to air in every bag of lays potato chips. Its bad right now even the New York Times oped section has more fans [ light laughter ] you know how i know things are bad . Earlier today, don jr. Changed his name to eric [ laughter ] and now trump wants to improve his numbers by getting his Campaign Team from 2 2016 back together trump was like, we can do it, theyre all out of prison now. So speaking of trumps campaign, it looks like hes ready to get back out on the road and now the president is planning to get back out on the trail. His Campaign Says theyre looking to resume those big rallies in the next two weeks, despite concerns about the pandemic jimmy dont worry, just to be safe, everyone gets injected with bleach on the way in and out. So actually, trump said that theyre being smart. He was like, when the rally ends, everyone will have to stay in the arena for two weeks of quarantine. So, thats fair, right meanwhile, just when it seemed like things couldnt get any more upsetting, trump took to twitter this morning to offer a Conspiracy Theory of the Police Brutality incident in buffalo. He said that the 75yearold man who was shoved by the police could be an antifa provocateur. And, i watched, he fell harder than was pushed. Could be a setup. Yeah, its pretty interesting that this guy is giving a lesson on gravity, from a man who stands like this its almost like hes, like, free falling, like one of those flying squirrel guys defying gravity um after receiving criticism from both democrats and republicans for that exact tweet, trump followed up by tweeting, make America Great again. cause when the new stuff bombs, you got to go with the hits well, i saw that Daniel Radcliffe released a statement condemning jk rowlings controversial tweets about trans people. Many people have been surprised by her views, but i dont know if you go back and read the harry potter books, it kind of makes sense theres a character that i forgot totally about theres hermione, ron, harry, and of course, there was the fourth friend that i forgot called wimpleton i totally well, heres a couple of excerpts from the audio books. Its taken 20 years to get here and were so darn grateful jimmy are you was it 20 years, for real 20 years, and actually feels kind of perfect that it happened right now jimmy really yeah. We need every vote. Like, every vote counts. Im going to vote. Jimmy youre going to vote oh my gosh have you registered yet . No, just minutes ago well, youre the first thing im doing since i became a a citizen, so as soon as im done with this i have a break and im going to register to vote without a doubt. Priorities, tan priorities i know. I know i mean, it took so long to get here jimmy 20 years is a long time yeah. But the Actual Experience of getting my oath thing done today was just lovely. It was such a beautiful, Emotional Experience as you may know, im not much of a crier if anyone knows me from queer eye, i am not the crier of the group. But i got so emotional it felt just really powerful to become an american today do you feel attacked, antoni [ laughter ] my sensitivity is my strength it is its beautiful, its beautiful jimmy what were you thinking of . Who were you thinking of why did you get emotional . I was just thinking of all the times ive been sent home, and the people ive missed and i was apart i was away from my husband for six years because i was sent home. And so just to now be in a a position where i know nobody can kick me out and i can actually truly make some changes. Actually vote to change and encourage people to vote to change the state of this country. Like, that that really made me feel very emotional the timing couldnt be more perfect for me jimmy jonathan, you were saying earlier that this show obviously is not a cure for all the worlds problems, but it may help give some light to people that need it. Yeah. I think having, you know, moments to like rest and recharge is great, and you know, like, british baking challenge is, you know, that for me and yeah, so i think you need sort of like joy that you know people can experience in this time is good, but getting your citizenship, i think, is a a pretty that is a change, honey. You want to talk about change, that is the , and tan, not to go back to but i cant help it, i could see the emotion in your face on that one picture i said, i think tan has been crying in public. It was great [ laughter ] jimmy thats so cool i watched the First Episode of this new season, season five for you guys, and i know its probably hard to promote a a product right now with all thats going on in the world, but i will say, man, you guys do such a great job. What an excellent show, top to bottom not just you guys but the producing of the show. The way its how intelligent you guys are and open to dealing with anything that comes at you i only watched the First Episode with the pastor, the openly gay pastor, and dude, its not just the end of the show where you cry, i cried like three times in the middle of the show and going karamo, simply your scene, i think this was, with all the other pastors sitting at the table. I lost it. And honestly, its always, now and then, just a curveball and i go like, this was great that youre talking, and youre making people have these conversations that may be uncomfortable but theyre needed what i love most about what you said is that, you know, a lot of people have been like, how are you going to promote a a show during this time where like, everyone is worried about a pandemic and also is supporting the black lives Matter Movement . I think what is beautiful is that people get to take a break from a mental and emotional break, which is necessary so that you can recharge and come back stronger to help other people and its nice because you get to see these people that were helping our heroes turn into these full, whole, beautiful, Vulnerable People and it kind of just recharges you and says, you know what . I want to go out there and protest. I want to do better for tomorrow let me recharge, break down, and come back, and i think thats really a beautiful part of our show. Jimmy yeah, i love that youre calling them heroes heroes puts it in a different light for me and i think thats a great change that you guys made. Antoni, do you want to talk about that yeah, i mean, like so ive only seen the first two episodes what . You havent binged it yet . Ive been traveling i drove from texas to new york but im going to catch up on it, i swear. But like you know, you brought up noah, this openly gay pastor whos basically stepping into a leadership position in his church, and all of the struggles, and like, the confidence that comes with that im so glad that you brought up karamos scene in that i just thought that was incredibly touching, for noah to be around, you know, other people of faith who kind of, to use jonathans line, like gave him permission to be that leader i think that was incredibly empowering and thats something that a lot of people can relate to we have rahanna, a a businesswoman and creative who she has her own dog grooming business called stylish pooch with this like mobile truck that she goes around like giving little makeovers to dogs. Makeovers are not little honey. She will make this dog pink. She will make it purple. But shell also do a trim, you know, sometimes theyre little tiny baby ones but other times they are like epic shes major. She does it all i think the episode that really touched me the most was tyreek out of the two. No, well [ laughter ] but no, i mean i havent seen tyreek yet, but i just kind of its so good. Its so good thats one that ive really been thinking about a lot. I mean, all these heroes in this season, and in every single season, whether theyre heroes in their own personal lives or whether theyre activists in their own right, i think its important now more than ever to honor heroes. I think in a time of, i think theres maybe i speak for myself, but theres been a lot of hopelessness. Heroes give us hope. It gives us someone to look up to and they come in all different, you know, shapes and sizes. This morning, i was watching an interview with gianna floyd, with George Floyds daughter and her mother was talking about how she doesnt fully understand what happened to her dad when her mother tried explaining it, but she knows that everyones talking about it and she was saying, i think in a video segment, like, daddy changed the world. And as horrible as it is what happened to him, its people like that, that i look up to or like, i listen to, you know, i turned on instagram five minutes before we logged in here, and i saw that tan got his citizenship and im thinking, like, i think that takes a tremendous amount of courage during times like this its so easy to be a pessimist and to not have hope, that Something Like that is just, its stuff like that that keeps me going and im just so grateful that we get to do it week after week, hero after hero jimmy karamo, is there different types of grieving and the ways to approach it . Yeah, definitely. And most people dont even realize that theyre grieving right now. Theyre experiencing severe loss like, what people dont realize, even when the pandemic was happening, you were grieving the loss of financial stability, of our regular schedules. And you have to go through a a process of acknowledging it, and starting to heal from it and thats happening again when people, its not compounded also with the fact that black lives Matters Movement is happening. People are, you know, waking up and theyre going through so much loss and everyone is screaming out for, i need change, i need things to be different and its a very beautiful moment that were living in. I mean, i just, i look at the five of our instagram, even yours, jimmy, and all of us, were just all in a space of like if youre grieving what was happening, if you want to see a better tomorrow, its okay to acknowledge it and its okay to start trying to do things to move towards a better tomorrow jimmy i was going to ask you guys, after five seasons, do people kind of know whats about to happen to their lives bobby, like, can you talk about, do people go like, oh, there they are, the fab five and i get it youre going to cut my hair. Youre going to put me in an outfit you know, it was very different for us for season one and two because no one had seen the show before. No one knew who we were. No one knew what to expect same with us. We had never seen the show we didnt know what to expect. I definitely say its become a a little different as seasons goes on because a lot of our heroes have seen the show.
