Look at the change in our temperatures right now. We are seeing a lot of our coastal spots in the 50s and mid60s. Inland it is starting to heat up. Definitely not as hot as yesterday. Looking at that time 24hour change, we are right now 19 degrees lower in santa rosa compared to this time yesterday. We are also seeing the cooling across the bay area. Even though it is a little bit cooler, its still going to be hot. Once that fog clears, our temperatures will spike. The good news is that those hot temperatures dont last that long as we go into today. We will still see those high temperatures inland east bay reaching into the upper 90s. Fire, looting all broke out as demonstrators demanded answers and accountability. This all following the death of george floyd. The man who protesters say was murdered by police. This new cell phone video appears to show the moment he steps out of his vehicle. Two officers restrain him. We are going to stay in the mid80s for much of the afternoon. But a nice cooldown under way. Right around sunset. If you want to hold off and take a walk this evening, its going to start to feel much better once that sea breeze kicks in. Because we are seeing that fog near the coast. That will keep those areas leak halfmoon bay in the 60s. San francisco in the low 70s. Then for the inland valleys, well, were still going to be hot this afternoon. Now, were still seeing that fog near the coast protect some inland cooling, but once that fog clears out, those temperatures will go up quickly. So as we go into the weekend, well see the dangerous heat going away, but in comes the storm system that will be moving up the coast. The only concern i have right now is that this could possibly produce some elevated thunderstorms, some lightning and may not bring us a whole lot of rain. So when you get dry conditions and lightning, well, that will raise the concern of some wildfires. We have to watch out for that on saturday. Once that moves on, well see a mild start to next week, but it will gradually start to get warmer. So we do still have a lot of changes here. Its really unusual to see a storm system coming in so late in the season by late may early june. Were usually not seeing a lot of storm systems coming in. So looking at how much rain this could bring . Most of us, it wont be a lot. Maybe a trace of an inch up to a tenth of an inch, with ego farther to the north, which will be great news. I am hoping we at least get that quarter inch of rain as we look at the big changes here, were coming out of the 90s today. So the 80s tomorrow. Then some merchandise 70s for the weekend.
