Which students will be in the classroom and why . We are following the guidelines of having 12 or less work of the same people. The same two or three assist b tants and the featurer. No one else can on enter the classroom. Its one like a family. The students that will be coming to school are the same students that i had throughout the school year. Their challenges range from down syndrome to autism, medically fragile. Nonverbal and use devices for communication. So the classroom will look a little different. Other changes as well. Talk about that. Absolutely. We took some furniture out of the classroom to make space for the desks. I teach 6th, 7th and 8th grade. They all have their own desk. They are an at least six feet apart. So took out all of on clutter on countertops so the room can be disinfected every evening after school and throughout the day, we will be following the guidelines of the marin public health. Wearing masks and keeping social distance. We have to take a Temperature Check when the kids are dropped off in the parking lot. They have to answer questions if they have or the paraphernalias will answer if there is anybody sick at home. If they have been exposed to anyone, if they have a fever of 100. 4 or above, they cant come to school. So we are following strict guidelines to make everybody safe. It sounds like a way to reopen all schools. Is this a possible model . I hope so. Because i feel like we have to think outside of the box and be creative. Because there are a lot of st special needs, its very charging for them to learn at home when they have their functional life skills and communication skills, its hard to teach that an at home with your parents next to you. And again, its a model that Elementary Schools can take on. Because they have just one classroom and one teacher. It will be more charging with middle school and high school.
