Large piles of trash on fire. No one was hurt. Whats going on now is firefighters are rotating in and out. Theyre putting foam on those trash piles and then digging in them. Sonja shin with the details. Reporter it was here where a Security Guard stepped in to save a young girl from a man who had been hired to drive her home from school. It was about 3 35 p. M. On monday when San Jose Police responded to a call from private Security Guard christopher gomez. I wont get into details about that, but i did see things i shouldnt have. Im a father. I have a sixyearold daughter, and what i saw was not okay. Reporter gomez was on patrol. He went over to see what was happening after he saw a man get into a mack seat of a mini van with a girl. I told him to step out of the vehicle. He refused. I drew my weapon and i had him step out of the vehicle and he came out. He came out and i handcuffed him properly and called san jose pd. Reporter the guard says the girl was in shock. I go, are you okay . She just gave me a blank stare and said no. Reporter he has been charged with four felonies. The victims family hired him several years ago to drive the little girl back and forth to school. Gomez says he wants to see justice served. Give him life. Give him life, all of them.
