Carbon dioxide is making the water more acidic, killing off plankton and affecting marine life. What we are monitoring is the Great Barrier reef, the Worlds Largest with 2900 reefs. Its producing a 50 coral loss. We can show you what that looks like right now near whats called Lizard Island just off the coast of australia. Thats a healthy reef. And then with the warming temperatures, you get bleaching on that reef, and that is a sign that the coral reef is dying when it important, because once that coral reef is lost, well, other species could face extinction. Theres real impacts to temperatures at least warming up most recently.
