Wagstaff said this is the fourth time of a ride sharing driver has been accused of sexually assaulting a woman in San Mateo County in just the past year and a half. An suv slammed into a vta bus at the intersection of king and cunningham, crashed into the bus in a power pole. The suv then caught fire and all the live wires were dangling across both cars, the bus and the cand and into a fire station which was right across the street. The bus driver told us he had one focus after the crash. I was thinking about the safety of my passengers. I got everybody out when i saw the fire and trained to do what im trained to do, protect the passengers at all times. Police are trying to figure out exactly how the accident happened. The passengers were treated for minor injuries, and then they boarded on the other destination, a bus. Suv driver wasnt hurt. We have not heard whether that driver has been cited. Youre right. This is a controversial plan, but mayor licardo says hes doing it for the safety of the community, and so far reaction has been mikxed. The mayors plan would force gun owners to insure their firearms. The proposal would mandate san jose gun owners buy Liability Insurance for every gun. It would cover accidental discharge of the gun and any damage done by someone if the gun was stolen. It would not cover the gun owners personal conduct. We have saved many lives in this country by requiring drivers buy auto insurance, encourage drivers to behave in safer behavior. A well known actor and bay area native has joined the fight against the San Francisco mural, danny glover is fighting to protect the mural at George Washington high school, including images of slaves as well as a dead native american. Critics say its offensive and should be taken down. The school board has already voted to paint oever the mural, but the fight continues, danny glover says in part as a washington high graduate, i have spent my entire life fighting for freedom and artistic expression. They were a reminder of the horrors of human bondage, and mistreatment of native people. It looks like the project has a green light.
