We begin with the search for the suspect in a deadly shooting outside a taco bell in livermore. Tonight police releasing new pictures of the suspect who has been on the run for more than a week. They are working with other bay area agencies hoping someone can help find the man they say killed a teenager last week. Police are circulating these more recent pictures of 21yearold jorge luis tayez. He is suspected of shooting and shooting a 16yearold outside of a livermore taco bell following an argument. We appreciate all the help that we receive from the public and all the tipz that we get are a direct result of what we put out on social media. Reporter family identifies the victim as emmanuel mows by, an aspiring rapper and stand out Football Player at livermore high school, his friends told us the day after he was killed, moseby was kind and talented. I knew as soon as i met him he was a great person. He had a great heart. Reporter police put out this picture of a white volkswagen. They believe the person was in the taco bell drive through during the shooting and want to speak with them. Were doing everything we can to take every possible step to turnover every stone. Reporter a raid at tayezs home turned up nothing. The community and family are desperate for answers. I love my little cousin and what im going to say Reporter Police also believe the suspect and victim somehow knew each other. Troubling story. Ian, thank you. A disturbing scotche discovery n the south bay. They were doing a trespassing sweep in the Guadalupe River park when they discovered a womans body. Police say it is now being investigated as a suspiciousn t bruno police have made two or more arrests in connection with the mall shooting. This is 18yearold deandre gandt. Police say he is one of the shooters. They also arrested a 14yearold boy today. That shooting on july 2nd left two teenagers wounded and sent hundreds of shoppers running for safety. Two other teenagers had already been arrested. A deadly hit and run in San Francisco today is the latest reminder that traffic deaths are on the rise in the city. It happened a 5th a big rig hit and killed a man dragging him for several blocks. The big rick driver was arrested for vehicular manslaughter and failure to yield to a pedestrian. The driver said it was an accident and he cooperated with police. City transit leaders say changes will come immediately. What lessons do we learn from this . So, we need to redouble our efforts to redesign streets, especially streets in the tenderloin. The plan is to reengineer all of the highinjury streets which makeup about 100 miles in San Francisco. The tragedy is the 20th traffic death so far this year. No decision tonight, so the fast food fight continues. My understanding is that they have an International Obligation to maintain that property in good condition, and that the policy they have adopted to do that is to charge rent. The state department is now in charge of it. The lawsuit claims the family is trespassing and living there unlawfully. The owens are now fighting the lawsuit based on californias ellis act, which allows landlords to get rid of tenants if a rental property is being taken off the market. You use the ellis act to tell somebody to get out of their house, then you cant put anybody else in the house. You cant rent it to anybody else. Its not clear. Theyd just rather have the place empty without tenant carir a property, it is their home its been their home for over 35 years. Reporter this mansion has an unusual and colorful history. In the 70s, it was the scene of hunger strikes, violent protests and a bombing that shattered car and home windows. Charlie ferguson says the owen family needs to stay. Officers Tara Osullivan and Natalie Corona were both killed while serving their communities this year in Northern California. They were both just in their 20s and today their families came together for the first pitch. Before tonights giants game inside oracle park, a moment of silence for Northern California Law Enforcement officers killed in the line of duty this year. The first pitch brought together families of two fallen officers, Natalie Corona from davis and officer Tara Osullivan from sacramento. There are still days that, you know, wake up and dont want to get out of bed. Reporter it was a tough night for officer osullivans father dennis osullivan. The last game that i was in this park was with tara. Reporter the officer originally from Contra Costa County was shot and killed while responding to a domestic disturbance one month ago.
