You can see remnants of what went down on this car with the bullet hole through the windshield and glass dust still spread across the dashboard inside the car and out on the hood. Now, we did have a photographer on the scene last night at about 10 30. And they were able to get video of two men being detained by police handcuffed and walked away. We hide their identity because we do not know for sure if they were involved in this, if they were just detained for questioning. The Santa Clara County Sheriffs Department has not responded to our requests about what went down here, but we know that one man was reportedly shot in the driveway across the street from this car. And there are shell casings, at least this were were, across th neighborhood. And we got video of this bullet hole through this car window. And we were told other cars were hit in the neighborhood. Although as i said, we have not heard back from the Sheriffs Department. We hope to len more frarn more s morning. Temperatures will be heading into the mid80s. Lets go to the south bay with a look at our high temperatures for today. Were bringing it down just a few more degrees from yesterday. So milpitas will see a high of 80, 86 in morgan hill, 84 the high in concord today. And in fremont, 78 degrees. Also 78 in redwood city, Half Moon Bay reaching 64 degrees. And still gusty in San Francisco with mostly cloudy skies that may linger into the day. And then the north bay reaching the mid80s in uhe could i. First pitch, it will be windy and cool day out there. And weather setup keeps it cooler through the rest of the week. Here is the reason why. We have an area of low pressure to the north and around that, the winds always flow counterclockwise. So for us, that means and onshore wind flow and it will be slow to move. So the Pacific Northwest staying wet while we will have cooler temperatures, even 70s and 80s for the inland areas. And then right behind in a, there will be another area of low pressure keeping it fairly cool even extending into next week. So we have great weather heading our way. And then for this last week in june heading into july, well continue on with some slightly cooler than normal temperatures. And were ready for the commute. And i say we because im already at work. So im always ready. All the freeways seem to be opening up from the overnight road crews. Counter commute usually clears up around 6 00. So give them some space. Highway 4, you are at speed in toward concord. South 242, there may be a crash clearing to the shoulder. So watch out, there was some debris reported and that is what im concerned about. The lanes are clear. Bay bridge toll plaza, the backup is starting to form for the fastrak lanes. And you see what happens when they dont have all the cash lanes open, but things are backing up quite a bit just like the bay bridge. Fastrak, a great deal. And the santa Rose School District is revising a proposed superintendent pay hike following public outrage. Currently the superintendent makes about 200,000 a year. The district had initially proposed raising her pay nearly 29 . However, many say that increase should be on par with 7 over two years that the teachers received. And the ncaa appears to be taking off the gloves to stop california from passing a student athlete compensation bill. State senators have already approved the fair pay to play act. It now is in assembly. Starting in 2023, it would allow studentathletes to profit from their likeness and receive compensation for sponsorships or signing with agents. And to the north bay, oakland today 72 and 67 in San Francisco. Well talk about that weekend forecast coming up in about 6 minutes. You have the back upat the bay bridge toll plaza what you we expect that. Things were a little more gradual as to how it built. Officials blame it on the fare evasion problem which report showed it significantly higher. 15 of riders dont pay fares. B. A. R. T. Police say crimes are carried out by those sneaking on to trains. Blackhawk wants to build a development up to 2400 homes on the western edge of the city of brentwood. This is an 800 acre are parcel of land located north of balfour road. The developer needs voter approval to move the limit line. Tonight the city down sistcity decide whether to signify the signatures blackhawk collected and put the issue on the November Ballot or ask for a special report instead. Opponents formed a group and argue that now is not the time to create this development. They say brentwood needs to see how they can handle the other homes awaiting construction and they worry about the noise and bad air quality, added stress on the underfunded Fire District and increased traffic in the area. Blackhawk none which has been developing for 30 years says that of the 800 and i can ertz f acres, 225 would remain permanent open space and would send millions to the Fire District, would widen balfour road and could fund safety improvements along deer valley road. The vote comes as the city prepares to celebrate pride this weekend. Music performances will be happening at Civic Center Plaza on saturday. There will also be dike and trans marchs in the afternoon. And sunday the pride parade is 10 30 in the morning. And a San Francisco business other than has come up with a unique way to protest the citys parking problem. This is just north of 680. And we typically see it about 5 30. At 6 20, 6 30, that is when things really kick in on a tuesday even in the summertime pattern. So there is the south bay with that little slowing we showed you on the camera. Zooming out, peninsula an easy drive after they cleared the crews of road work. Same thing for east bay. A little slow going in hayward and trivalley south 680. No major problems towards the bay bridge. At the bay bridge, just a hassle, backup at the toll plaza of course because metering lights are turned on their regular time. So tuesday still with heavy volume. Im still getting used to the sun coming up so early. Yeah, sets so late. But these are the days to enjoy more time outside. Especially with some cooler weather headed our way. Lets talk about this forecast going into the rest of the week into the weekend. Really excited to see this. And, yes, there is the inland forecast. In the valley, well be in the 70s over the next few days even going into the weekend, this nice weather holds. For San Francisco, we will still haves fog and clouds and some peeks of sunshine at times with our temperatures staying in the 60s. Mayor breed proposed the 200 bed shelter on the embarcadero in march hoping to open it by the summer. A recent report says that there has been a 17 increase in people without stable housing since 2017. There has been fierce on thaeeen to the plan. And the search continues to find a housing solution, and another problem coming to light. Someone soaking Homeless People in San Francisco with buckets of water. And witnesses say that this happened saturday afternoon at 20th and bryant. They say this is the second bucket of water dumped on that woman and her belongings. Some say this is not the first time this has happened. It is horrible. Passive aggressive and just heartless. Witnessed a ton of water come down and land on this person. So witnesses say that they dont know who has access to the roof. Police say if the victim files a report, it could be investigated as misdemeanor battery. Quarter to 6 00. And developing story, the search continues for a missing university of utah student. Originally from southern california. Mckenzie lueck vanished after taking a flight from l. A. X. To salt lake city. She arrived at 1 35 a. M. Last monday. After going to her grand mothers funeral in california, roughly 30 minutes later she texted that she land safely. And then an hour after that, a lyft driver dropped her off at a park. The driver says that she met in someone in a car and was not in any kind of distress. Dozens of are cars at a dealership going up in flames. This happened at a car max dealership in bakersfield. 85 carts were damaged or destroys. Firefighters say a grass fire spread to the lot and the fire itself was parked by a big rig dragging a chain. Reporter when he was 15, justin received a heart transplant. For three months, he and his mom stayed at the Ronald Mcdonalds house for his recovery. After my heart transplant, there was a sudden urge for appetite. Reporter a now 16yearold justin loves to cook. He still has to cut out sodium and sugar for his heart, but when the Makeawish Foundation give him a wish, he passed on the trip to europe or disneyland to make a cookbook.
