Now, its back in the spotlight, and with it, concerns about who is behind the challenge and how to protect your kids from its disturbing message. Reporter the alarming image of a bugeyed woman with stringy hair and the body of a bird first surfaced on the internet last summer but has recently gone viral again. According to reports, momo allegedly uses messaging platforms like facebooks whats app to compel young people to take part in dangerous activities, from stabbing people and taking pills to suicide. The challenge also allegedly asks users to provide photo evidence of the completed tasks. If they dont comply, they receive a message threatening to hurt them. So far, no Law Enforcement officials have reported any injuries or deaths linked to the challenge. Some critics, like the factchecking website snope, says momo is a hoax, tracing the photo to a japanese sculpture called mother bird. Many parents are worried and have taken to the internet to voice their concerns and warn about momos spread to sites like facebook and youtube. In a statement to nbc news, youtube says it has found no evidence of the challenge on its site, but says it violates policy and would be removed immediately. Those cards are 40 years old and just as important now than ever. Yeah, they are. P is for . Proud. Proud. Very good. What happens here . Our flavorings, want to do this . Ill stir. Ill do it really fast. Flavorings are tomato paste, paprika. I thought it was paprika. You can say that. Would i be wrong . You would not be wrong. A little salt. Okay. Im cooking. Im cooking. The magic ingredient, water. I think you can probably stop now. Okay. We get the idea, right . Okay. So you cook that. It looks like this. Gotcha. So its, you know, tomato sauce by thin, thin enough to cook egg noodles in. The dumb question, do i keep all my meat and stuff in there and add the noodles . Everything is in here. Okay. It is a thin heat tomato sauce. When you cook the noodles in it, it becomes saucy and beautiful. I mean, this whole obviously, we went fast, but the only thing in here that takes my time at all really is cooking the noodles. And the prep. You know, to make it stroganoff, you need sour cream. Good. All right. Now, im hogging you to myself. We have garnish. Make a little greens. Love it. Fabulous. Is it over . Yeah. Now its you. Can i taste yours . Looks good. Save the eating. I cant, bittman. Were doing a vegan version. What we have to do is get strong flavors in and mimic the sour cream. Nicely browned mushrooms. What are those, leeks . And garlic. Cool that until theyre done. Kale is the main ingredient there. Kale. Yeah. Thats got real you okay with that . If youre not a kale fan, can you stick in other greens . You want a tough collards are good. Mustard green. Okay. You want something because theres no meat in here. Right. Mustard and paprika, wine and vegetable stock. Or paprika. Or paprika. Either one or both. It comes down to this. Itll look like this. Okay. To mimic the sour cream, to get that creaminess. What is that . Bean puree. Really, that does it . It does it. They are like nokke, as well. There are ma way many ways to m and make them. These are a little brown. This is butter . Just butter. We brown these at the same time as we brown some sirloin. Slice that. I had a couple of these. You can tell. So we make a thick tomato sauce thats much like the first one we make, with sour cream, with onions, with tomatoes. You add the meat to the sauce . The meat goes into the sauce. I mean, im sorry. It goes on the plate. The sauce goes on top of it. Want to try it . I do, yeah. Basically, you have the carbohydrate, the pasta, and the protein. You can substitute a lot of these in and out . I mean, the cool everything here is really good, as you know, because youve been eating it. This is true. The really cool thing is, i think, the bean puree in the vegan version. Is that your favorite one . Its like a trick. It is still a stroganoff. It has all of the characters of a stroganoff.
