Today there were extra Police Patrols out along the embarcadero and at pier 39. Some visitors admitted to being perhaps a little shaken up but not enough to change holiday plans. Both these men were immigrants who were scheduled to be put on a plane for a country they left when they were children on monday, and the governor granted a pardon. If you look at kind of the 24hour temperature change, some spots were even as warm as 10 degrees warmer than we were 24 hours ago. However, we are expecting a couple of things to remain in place. And one of those things is going to be that air quality. For tomorrow north bay, east bay, and the peninsula you can expect unhealthy air quality to remain, which means no wood burning. I know its sad because tomorrows Christmas Eve, you probably had high hopes of a nice fireplace going. Well, maybe just hold up on that because its actually illegal. So youre going to have to hold off on that. And then as we get this incoming system thats sitting off to the north, might get a little bit more of a clearing in terms of the pollutants in the air.
