Protests took place on the corner of the shopping district. The group celebrated indictments and guilty plea from members of the trump campaign. Many pushed for impeachment of the sitting president. There was a small group of president ial supporters there. Both groups tell us they fear each other. I have been personally attacked physically. I have been stalked. My information has been given out. Someone asked me what my hat said. It says make America Great in russian. He was offended by that and shoved me. This group tried to get a permit to protest in union square. It was denied by the department of parks and recreation. That area is occupied by the skating rink and christmas tree. A marin county man is facing charges of attempted murder after an attack in mountainview. Officers arrived around 6 30 last night. Police say a man with a knife refused to stop attacking a victim even after a taser was used on him. They restrained the suspect who was identified as 43yearold. The victim is a 55yearold man in serious condition. It is unclear if the suspect and victim knew each other. As we first reported yesterday, San Francisco police have the go ahead to carry tasers joining every other Police Department in the united states. It came after a decade long debate and long meeting at city hall that ended in a 43 vote in support of tasers. Opponents voiced several concerns. The police chief says with training, tasers will reduce the use of force and help officers deescalate situations. The Police Commission will play a big role between now and the actual implementation. Now, we come up with rules and guidelines on exactly how tasers can be used, when they can be used. The department is promising to develop a taser use policy with the help of the public. Officers are not expected to be equipped with tasers until next year. A halloween shootout involving San Francisco police. Officers say the suspect is a 32yearold hayward man. He is in the hospital with lifethreatening injuries. The officer was shot in the hand and stomach. Hes been on the force nine years in critical, but stable condition this morning. The shooting happened midnight halloween after a man flagged down an officer to report a suspicious vehicle near 18th and diamond street in the castro district. As officers approached the car, the gunman opened fire. The tax overhaul bill before congress could affect the funding for the proposed raiders stadium in las vegas. The republican bill and tax exempt status on bonds used to pay for sports stadiums. The bid to build a 1. 9 billion dome could fall within that category. When i mean the temperature drops, i mean that. Look at this. 14 degrees colder at this hour than we were yesterday in san jose. 14 degrees colder in sunniville. Napa and santa rosa feeling that bite. 21 degrees colder at this hour than yesterday. That contrast is incredible especially when you look at hayward, nine degrees cooler. We are expecting cooler temperatures to stick around. Thats because we have another cold front that is sitting to the north. That will sweep in bringing the chance to the north bay. Lets talk about todays predicted highs. Oakland, the lower end of the 60s. 50s for the coast. San francisco, 59. Oakland, 62. Santa rosa climbs into the 60s. You are not going to stay in the 30s, which is good news. Antioch, a warmer spot. Livermore, 63. The south bay, expect to climb into the low end 60s. It stays that way for several days. The next chance of rain, yesterday, we did have a pretty good amount of rainfall overnight, then we suddenly saw the rain taper off by 3 00. If you notice, we have this system. It kind of tracks in, very spotty into the sunday evening hours. By monday at 12 00, all of that is left behind, patchy cloud cover and well clear out nicely as we head into monday evening and tuesday.
