We spoke with an Exchange Student from the uk. He is confused about the need for security, saying one of the reasons he came to berkeley is because in the 60s and 70s this was the breeding ground for free speech. Thank you very much, bob. The sellers had lived there for more than five decades and paid around 50,000 when they first bought the home. I know you guys probably had a really good time out there with the treat truck yesterday. Was it windy . It was kind of warm, in fact. Humid. It was all that cloud cover. Yeah, and it was cloudy yesterday. Its starting out cloudy in morning and as we go through the day we will start to see that all clearing out. We can still see those breezy winds evidenced by the flag there as we take a live look outside in treatmefremont. It will be breezy today because we had that system yesterday that brought us isolated storms through the morning and cooler temperatures today. Sevenday forecast is up at the bottom of the screen, looks pretty good. As we get a look at our high temperatures today up to 79 degrees in east san jose. We saw the skies clearing so as youre standing out in front of the closet getting ready for the day it will be a good day to grab a hat because we will have the winds gusting around. It will give you a little shade later on today. Also you will be comfortable wearing long sleeves especially to start out now that those temperatures are a little lower. Looking at the wind speeds throughout the day, we are already starting out with a few breezes, our winds will be picking up at 15 to 20 Miles Per Hour especially on the coast and in San Francisco today it will be sustained winds at 20 miles an hour with some higher gusts. And as we go into the next several days our temperatures remain in the 60s. There will be a chance of rain on tuesday and also on wednesday with some showers just to the north of us, we will have to see if it works its way in. Also as we look at the inland areas it is going to be so pleasant over these next seven days, no extreme heat and i think we can for a while leave the air conditioner off. As we head over to mike a major crash now in Castro Valley. We have a live shot behind me. These folks are on scene, i was not. This is one of the big rigs involved. Im hearing that this crash where our photographer just arrived seconds ago has piece td through this, we see the Fire Department on scene, im told there are some injuries, sounds like there may be major injuries, we havent gotten confirmation on details. I can tell you that all traffic westbound 580 is stopped. This is not open to traffic flow. Heading out of dublin and in toward Castro Valley this is west 580 at eden canyon road. This will be a major problem. Let me show you where this has cut off the traffic flow. This is coming from dublin interchange. It is cut off right here, eden canyon road, Castro Valley boulevard that entire corridor is coming off of the dublin grade and it is jammed right now. Im not sure what they are going to do about the cars stuck on the roadway. You might have to head south down toward 680 through niles canyon and make mission over toward 8806789 i know thats a long way but just stay clear of this crash. This will be an issue. We dont know when chp expects to clear it because we are still trying to get the details on the extent of the crash and injuries. Maybe theres fluid hopefully its not fuel through the area. You can go north if youre north of the interchange, if over toward highway 24 and get around this as well. Again, i expect this to be a problem for a couple hours at the very least. We will see how it develops. Perhaps im wrong with the details that first came in from chp but we will wait for them to update us. For now make your way around north or south but avoid west 580 traveling out of dublin and in toward Castro Valley at eden canyon, thats where were following a major crash, guys. The Younger Generation could be more prone to distractions in the car due to lack of experience behind the wheel. The rules do not apply if the driver is commuting between school and work. Now, we investigated overnight and according to 2013 study by the state dmv one in every 11 teenage drivers is involved in a car crash each year and one in three get a ticket. Those numbers are higher for teenagers than any other age group. Its 4 51 right now. A bill calling for the state to generate 100 of its electricity from Clean Energy Sources by 2025 is struggling in the assembly. The bill doesnt seem to have enough support in the assembly.
