Thank you very much, bob. After graduating from skyline high, he went on to San Francisco state where he earned a degree in radio and tv. Stephanie chuang is live at San Francisco state with that part of the story. Reporter kris and sam, we have confirmed with San FranciscoState University that flanagan graduated here in 1995 with a degree, as you mentioned, in radio and tv journalism. He beyond growing up in the bay area and attending school here, also started his professional career here in the bay area. While attending San Francisco state, he worked at kpix, local cbs station. According to his linked in page, he worked at that station in 93, continuing through 1995, the same year he graduated from fs state. From that point on, he was in and out of news in midland, texas, savannah, georgia, tallahass tallahassee, georgia and pgne, according to his linkedin page. At wdbj, the station where both victims and suspect once worked, the stations general manager appeared on the midday newscast, describing flanagan as an unhappy man saying he had some talent as a reporter but was fired two years ago after, quote, many incidents of his anger. He added the station called police to escort flanagan out of the building because, he quote, did not take that well. Since then, according to marks, flanagan filed multiple complaints, accusing several Staff Members of making racist comments. The gm was not sure if todays victims were part of that. However, a twitter account under the suspects same name included tweets that the reporter, Alison Parker, made a racist comment and the photographer reported him to Human Resources. The station says the commission dismissed those claims right away. Multiple publications i should mention have also written about and reported on a lawsuit back in 2000 that flanagan engaged in that he sued a tv station in tallahassee, florida, also alleging racism. So maybe a bit of a pattern there. But once again, the station emphasizing the names that should be remembered, you should come away with, are those of Alison Parker, 24, and adam ward 27, lives cut too short this morning.
