The Algerian president on Wednesday underwent successful surgery on his foot at a hospital in Germany Tebboune, 75, who succeeded Algeria’s strongman Abdelaziz Bouteflika in 2019, flew to Germany earlier this month to be treated for complications resulting from a coronavirus infection.
