Photograph By Mike Youds He's played a lot of shows with a number of bands, but Tuesday's gig at The Art We Are is something special for guitarist and songwriter Jesse DeFehr. The Celista bluesman is flying solo this time and, on top of that, he hasn't yet turned the page on age 17. "I do acoustic and electric blues," he explained. "I kind of play them into each other." The Chase secondary student has been called a prodigy, although "I wouldn't exactly call myself that," he noted. "But others seem to think I am." At an age when most guitarists are rock-steady aspirants - rattling their parents' light fixtures - DeFehr has a more eclectic repertoire currently centred around the blues: "I don't have boundaries."
