We still are in this system where the low to the north of us is gng to rotate some showers into the bay area. So level one system, you can see some showers offshore there. They are light. They will ou in santa cruz by aptosrting corralitos highway one. Some wet weather further to the north over into the east bay. 580 in livermore and 680 scattered showers. Mount diablo, some snow there. And this is where we have our winter storm warning for the next couple of hours. Lake Mendocino County, where you can see all that white and pink, indicating some accumulating snow showers down towards saint helena. The level one system today with us throughout the entire day. Snowy peaks, gusty winds and the cold temperatures for us until 9 00. Sonoma napa numbers down into the mid 30s. For some of you it is 41. In oakland, 39 in sonoma, 48 San Francisco with 44 san mateo. Were anywhere from about 4 to 5 degrees cooler this morning on the peninsula, and same in the north bay. So a chilly start out there. You can see the scattered showers 8 00 from the coast. There Half Moon Bay to petaluma and then as we stop this at noontime time, maybe a good downpour for fairfield and napa, Mountain View, a few scattered showers. But there we are. Ski resorts like palisades tahoe were closed saturday due to Severe Weather and unbelievable wind gusts overnight. On top siberia ridge, which is the top part of our mountain, we were reaching wind uh up to 190mph, which is, you know, im pretty sure its Hurricane Force winds. The nevada side is closed because of the road conditions. But if the weather permits, heavenly is still planning to hold its big air show featuring a pro skier and rider stunt show along with a party today. So well see if that happens. Thats not the case, though. For other lake tahoe ski resorts, most are shut down by the storm and that includes sugar bowl resort because of scenes like this. Can you believe it . People cant even get through the door. All you have to do is send this to the ski group. No caption needed, right . The resort says it got 20 to 24in of snow overnight into saturday, so as you can imagine, that number has increased since then. A few resorts are open with reduced operations. Mammoth mountains ski area is also closed today. Theres low visibility and powdery conditions on the slopes. As you can see, at last check, the mountain received over two feet of snow. So now here in the bay area, pgandes crews have been working around the clock restoring power to thousands of residents who lost electricity during the storm, according to pgandes outage map, there are fewer outages to report, which of course is good news. But this morning, one of the largest areas affected is in the east bay, where about 140 people are still without electricity.
