And thats all moving over to the Mount Hamilton area, where of course it will likely snow because of the cold air accompanying this rainfall in some of our higher peaks. So theres the pattern right there. The showers are developing offshore and moving quickly onshore, but theyre fairly widely scattered. This is a level one storm on the exclusive abc seven storm impact scale through tomorrow. We expect more periods of showers, brief downpours, maybe some snow on the peaks, gusty wind at times. Theres low visibility and powdery conditions on the slopes. More snow is on the way and the forecast plus strong winds of up to 95mph are expected through tomorrow. Well warming shelters are opening up across the bay area tonight as the rain and cold temperatures continue. And stalled out in the second lane as it was disabled in the lane. Uh truck was unable to avoid that disabled vehicle and struck it. It was a fuel truck that ended up the trailer overturning on to its side on the roadway, which resulted in a Hazardous Material spill. An estimated 500 gallons of fuel spilled out, up to 150 gallons of it went down. A storm drain. Crews cleaned up and reopened the lanes this afternoon, and there were no injuries. The storm left behind a mess at San Francisco National Cemetery in the presidio, a 50 foot eucalyptus tree fell onto several gravesites earlier today. It also landed on a water main, causing it to break. A Tree Trimming Company and San Francisco firefighters cleaned up the damage. The string of storms is also dropping hail. For many locations in the in the northern sierra and here in the bay area, weve had quite a bit of rainfall. Although as you look at live doppler seven right now, you can see that the rainfall is sort of spotty. But down in the south bay and in the Santa Cruz Mountains, weve got a line of heavy downpours right now just drenching that area. There is light rain in other locations, but its becoming more widespread. Its becoming lighter as we get later into the evening hours. So lets take a look at our storm impact scale. This is a level one storm through tomorrow. Well see more periods of showers with some brief downpours, snow on the higher bay area peaks because theres cold air coming along with this storm. Itll be gusty at times. Forecast animation starting at midnight shows scattered showers overnight, although again cold enough to produce some snow over our highest peaks and this storm will become weaker and the rainfall lighter as we get into the daytime hours tomorrow. But there will be some wet spots continuing through tomorrow and even into monday and tuesday. So rainfall estimates additional rain from o this evening into 11 00 monday night, generally under a quarter of an inch south of the golden gate. A little bit more rain than that up in the north bay.
