The suspect on the run has been identified by nashvilles police chief as his own estranged son, John Drake Jr. The 38 year old described as armed and extremely dangerous. Our officers were investigating a stolen vehicle during that investigation. They had contact with a subject they struggled with that subject and during that struggle, the suspect produced a handgun and fired shots. People in the suburb of laverne have been told to shelter in place and stay alert.
