Every day i felt like she had my back. She would have stepped in to protect us, thats what shes trained to do. And this is something that vicky proved to be true on a day in february of 2017. There was a situation where an inmate, while in my courtroom, got out of his shackles and started towards the bench to an open window to end his life. He was very distressed. Before that inmate could throw himself from the window, vicky got involved. She got to him. She and another deputy, and grabbed him, but he grabbed her gun.
