Jimmy who is beyond a legend, obviously, musically, as a figure in american history. Yeah. Jimmy and youre doing it for nat geo which i think is interesting, tell us about that, what is it that youre doing exactly . So its an eightpart mini series about Aretha Franklins life from the 60s through the 90s and its everything from how she created her music to the life she was living while she was making all of this music and who she was really, yeah. Jimmy and the life she was living was an interesting life. It is, a very interesting life and she was very private about a lot of it. Youre sort of relying on not just her music, what she said but like interviews and pictures, and you put all of the pieces together. Shes fascinating and brilliant 1y. Jimmy yeah. And she went through a lot and made great music through it. Jimmy and through the 90s who is zooming who, in that era. Yeah. You do regiona frankl jimmy you do the singing . I do. Jimmy thats something else. Nobody sang better than aretha. Thats got to be intimidating, i would think. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It take as you lot of practice. Definitely a couple songs i was like i dont know if i could do this but you put the work in and put confidence in yourself and go for it. Yeah. Ive had amazing help. My vocal coach was wonderful and i love her music since i was a young girl so im lucky about knowing the music. Jimmy and you sang in oprahs ear so nothing can top that. I mean, yeah. Jimmy whats the toughest Aretha Franklin song to tackle . So aint no way is tough for most of us, but i love it so i sing it anyway. But the toughest song i had to sing is called never grow old it has no time signature and shes leading the piano. Jimmy wow. So i had to learn by listening, thats the only way you can. You cant rely on the instrumental or anything you have to rely on what shes doing. That was tough. Jimmy so she plays the piano do you play the piano. I do not. I had to learn a little bit for it.
