They both have said that Clinical Trials involving the Pediatric Age Group should start imminently, januaryfebruary 2021, and you need at least two months of safety data in that age group, so by the summer, which is when the phase 5 phase 4 groups will be rolled out, kids will be in that group, and we should have good safety data. Governor newsom is ramping up stay at home orders. They include northern california, greater sacramento, the bay area, San Joaquin Valley and southern california. The bay area includes primary counties and adds in santa cruz and monterey. The order is not immediate. It could go into effect, though, any day. This is the most aggressive order from Governor Newsom since the original one in march. There could be a lockdown through christmas as hospitals prepare for another major surge, the biggest one yet. The major change here is that this order is only triggered when available icu beds in the region drops below 15 . As reggie mentioned, the bay area could hit that threshold in weeks. Other parts of the state could be there in just a matter of days. Lets walk you through what happens when this does kick in. That means bars, wineries, personal care services, hair salons and barber shops will all be forced to close. Restaurants would go back to takeout only. Retail will be cut to 20 capacity, churches would have to move outdoors and Critical Infrastructure of schools with a waiver, those would all be allowed to stay open. This order lasts three weeks. Governor gavin newsom saying its critical we take action now. The effects of thanksgiving, they have not yet been felt. They will be felt in a number of weeks. Dr. Fauci, i think, said it best.
