Thats an increase of 50 over the previous two weeks. And more than a quarter Million People have been diagnosed so far with coronavirus in our state. Governor newsom has expanded monitoring of counties hit hard by the virus to 23. In the bay area, that now includes marin. Contra costa is back on the list and santa clara is off. Three factors go into a county joining the watchlist. Elevated disease transmission, increasing hospitalization and limited hospital capacity. Napa county will likely have to roll back reopenings beginning thursday because of a jump in coronavirus cases. That means Indoor Dining will end, tasting rooms will close, both indoor and Outdoor Service at bars and breweries will be put on pause. Those new restrictions run through july 30th. Aaron robinson shot himself last week. Family says robinson had been sexually harassing guillen. That could have been me. Reporter nobody ive spoken to here at the vigil new Vanessa Guillen personallybut somany people feel connected to her and her story. Im a mother. My daughter is 23 and my son is 18 and i can feel, you know, pain. I can only imagine the pain that the mother is going through. Its really heartbreaking that we all feel like were just supposed to take it. Reporter pittsburg resident said she was sexually assaulted and harassed by three different people while she was in the air force. Theres a really big stigma with reporting. I think that were scared because we see over and over that nothing is done. I think that especially being like a woman of color, we get, like i got labeled as crazy latina. That rescue came exactly 21 years after a firefighter saved his dog, mackie, from his childhood home before it burned down. Heres a picture of lee when he was 6 years old. The rescue had a profound impact on him and inspired him to be a firefighter. It could get, there is the potential for it to get very dangerous. The crews fire and the winds have not been much of an issue and theyre not right now. Thank you, mike. Happening right now, crews are battling a wildfire in fairfield about a half mile off of interstate 80. This is just one of at least eight fires that bay area crews have had to deal with in the last day. Bay area right now firefighters are watching for hot spots. Amy hollyfield is live there with the latest. Amy . Its still windy here this morning, kumasi. Residents describe a tense situation as this fire threatened their homes. It burned close to nelson hill in fairfield near the pittman road on interstate 80. Firefighters evacuated about 30 homes on amber and sierra courts and scotch pine as the wind pushed the fire towards the neighborhood. One resident said in the few seconds it took him to tell dispatchers where the fire was burning, he saw it triple in size. Residents jumped into action working to help each other get to safety. Me and one of the Community Service officers were going door to door warning everyone telling them to get ready. Many didnt know their backyards were on fire. It was a very fast paced getting everyone ready and neighbors getting everyone out and helping the kids get you could see the smoke from this fire for miles. Firefighters say no one was hurt and no homes were burned. They did save the neighborhood. An outbuilding at the top of the hill that was not occupied was destroyed. The fire burned about 60 acres. Firefighters got it under control by 7 30 last night and thats when they were able to allow people back into their homes. No word on the fires cause. The 5,400 acre crews fire north of gilroy has another. This is according to cal fire. Also forced 70 people to evacuate. The fire started sunday near crews road just east of high way 101. The fire is only 20 contained. In Contra Costa County crews are watching for flare ups near rodeo. Burned 2 30 acres before they were able to get it under control last night. One man said the smoke started enhere was a big the freeway. Anr time to get the kids out. That was the most important thing. Crews plan to be at the scene throughout the morning mopping up.
