This year taking dad to an as game, giants game, or grabbing tickets to watch the dubs isnt possible due to the pandemic, so planting an inflatable sofa is a solid plan b for this family. In the east bay a group of communitytists painted the words reparations n words reparations now along mcdonald avenue. Reparations would compensate the Africanamerican Community for slavery and centuries of racism. Part of that includes changing how local governments spend taxpayer money why is it ultimately were talking about budgets being moral documents and understanding that were where we the city puts its money talks about what the city cares about, where the citys priorities are. We do not need more police on our streets. We need more funding in our schools. One of the people leading todays effort says the reparations message covers a street where the kkk held parades years ago. A call to Defund Police urging city leaders to disbd e. Dozens marched in fort mason this afternoon. One leader claims they want the mayor to go beyond promising to reform police. Our objective is to disband the Police Department and rebuild something that actually protects and serves the citizens, all the citizens of the city and county of San Francisco. The death of george floyd has fueled a movement that has led to the toppling of statues that are viewed by some as symbols of racism and oppression.
