Amy . Not as easy as just flinging open the doors. As we found this Benicia Health and fitness club could reopen today but theyre not quite ready yet. They still need to do some more work to meet all the states requirements. Solano county are saying some businesses can start reopening today as long as they meet state requirements. Wineries, bars and breweries and Family Entertainment centers, zoos and museums and hotels. They actually said go ahead and open yesterday if youre ready. Some confusion on the date. The state said these businesses can open this friday and Solano County originally said that but now the county said, hey, if these businesses are ready to go and meet the requirements, go ahead and reopen. Now, be sure to call a business before you show up because places like this gym, theyre not ready yet. Youll want to check in. This gym says theyre ready to open on monday. Thats what theyre aiming for. Some businesses like nail salons, tattoo parlors, Movie Theaters and those are on the list of businesses that still need to remain closed. Reporting in benicia, amy hollyfield. California nail salon owners want to get back to work and just filed a second lawsuit against he state. The first suit came after ad cas cero som said the first aailsteee by phone with industr representatives about that claim. It was understood from the call that the first case of covid19 did not, in fact, come from a nail salon. Were angry and frustrated and suffering and need our nail salons to be open. No projected date or timeline has been released on when nail salons can reopen. Coronavirus cases, though, continue to spike in at least 20 states including california. Im really upset that the kids were exposed to that and the effect it will have on them after this. He had so much anger in his face and his eyes and i hope that he gets arrested and we press charges against him and i hope we get justice from t burl investigating and have a suspect in mind. A woman in oakland has come up with an artistic way to protest inequality and that is through a hiphop dance class. These dance moves are part of a movement. Several adults and kids get together in the richmond, ridgemont neighborhood to dance in support of black lives matter. Signs reading white silenc equal white consent and black lives matter. A dance instructor came up with the concept. When i came across the slogan, white silence equals white consent that really struck a chord with me and i wanted to do something in protest of inequality and it occurred to me what i do is dance. So, we organized a hiphop class out here on the culdesac. For a great cause and hopefully next time people out and involved to show their support. New way for me to protest and im all for it. It is amazing. Thats great. More support dance classes are in the works possibly one this weekend at lake merritt. Thats pretty cool. Yeah, i like that. Peaceful frotest fuful protestd exercise.
