Now, this is the same drug that President Trump said he took daily as a preventive measure against the coronavirus. Are you surprised by the move by this agency . Im not surprised. You know, last week we also had the largest study coming out looking at hundreds of hospitals and thousands of patients of hydroxychloroquine and different drug combinations. The researchers found that it increased mortality and Heart Disease in almost every group, so the World Health Organization who currently has this large Clinical Trial looking at several different treatments, the solidarity trial basically put the brakes on the hydroxychloroquine arm, and its important that all these agencies are taking a look at all the data and making sure the drug is safe. And, dr. Patel, the World Health Organization on monday also warned countries where Coronavirus Infections are declining could still face an immediate second peak of the virus.
