This opens at 9 00 this morning and i want to let everyone know there is not a line of people here yet. There is no one here yet. Different from when the centers were opening weeks ago. Alameda county fairgrounds people who live in livermore, dublin and pleasanton and they have to meet one of these requirements. Heres a list they are looking for. People with a fever, shortness of breath and recent exposure to a coronavirus patient and other chronic diseases and people over the age of 65, women who are currently or recently have been pregnant and people who are homeless. This is being put on my Stanford Health care system along with the cities. Those three cities that i mentioned. They did have 150 tests available per day or 750 for the week and they say your results will come back pretty quickly within three days. We are at gate 12 at the Alameda County fairgrounds. Again, it opens at 9 00 this morning and when they run out of tests for the day, they say they will post a sign here at the gate letting everyone know. No appointment is needed. And you dont need a doctors note. So you can just come on in if you meet one of those requirements. Reporting live in pleasanton, this is an area with one of the highest infection rates in San Francisco. The tests are part of a larger ucsf study to learn more about the virus and how it affects people of different neighborhoods or ethnic makeups. We learned on saturday 24 people tested positive at the Single Room Occupancy Hotel in the mission. Many of those residents speak spanish and have Underlying Health conditions. Week seven of sheltering in place in the bay area and people are experiencing what experts call quarantine fatigue. The warm weather over the weekend wads too good for people to pass up. Spotted a lot of people in the sausalito water front and the beaches in santa cruz were pretty close and closed parking lots didnt stop people from parking further away from the beach. The Paycheck Protection Program initially ran out of funding earlier this month. About two weeks after the program launched with 349 billion. It has shown promise in helping others fight the virus. But this morning senator klobuchar joking that her husband is showing one lingering symptoms. A similar plasma study just started at ucsf this weekend and they hope it works based on other Infectious Disease but they dont know for sure. Lets take a live look right there right now because we have a new change that went into effect as of 6 00 this morning. If you there on the left hand side of the screen and you see the orange cones, that is southbound traffic on the northbound side of the highway. This configuration will remain in effect for the remainder of the project. So, what theyre doing here. So you understand the process. This is day four of that project. That is brandnew pavement and on the righthand side, thats the southbound portion of 101. And northbound traffic for the remainder of the project is going on to 280. They discharged the last covid19 patient from local hospitals. The 12 patients were cleared yesterday. They now have to spend 14 days in quarantine before being allowed to resume their normal lives. Doctors say the number of new coronavirus cases in wuhan is dropping every day and they are closely monitoring people to avoid a second wave. Thats good to hear. One woman on an American Airlines flight this weekend videotaped something we havent seen in a long time. She was on a nearly full flight on saturday. She was leaving new york city going to charlotte. The woman was stunned at the lack of social distancng and was almost overwhelmed with fear because she had a middle seat. The airport at jfk was eerily empty and more and more people kept arriving at her gate to board that same flight. Flight attendants are concerned about their own health and safety. They sent a letter to the department of transportation. The union wants airlines to limit nonessential travel. It also wants the federal officials to make it mandatory to wear masks in airports and on airplanes. Hundreds of flight attendants have gotten sick with coronavirus. Many rights of passage are being put on hold but one Central Valley school has found a way to celebrate prom without setting fo setting foot outside their houses. Are okay. A prom like no other in the history of Sunnyside High School in fresno. Staff organized a virtual prom for the students over the weekend. The school wanted to give the students an escape from the pandemic and took the event online via instagram but no party is complete without music. Heres a look at walnut creek where it is pretty sunny and 51 degrees right now. Well jump into the accuweather highlights and a few passing high clouds. Early week warming trend before more clouds and patchy fog become dominant during the overnight hours because of the sea breeze that is going to bring us cooler weather, especially this weekend when there is a slight chance of some sprinkles sunday. Lets take a look at our microclimates. 75 to 80 down in the south bay with san jose at 78 degrees and 70 to 75 on the peninsula with 72 in redwood city and you can see upper 50s to near 60 along the coast. Mid 60s. That is a little bit warmer than yesterday for downtown, south San Francisco and sausalito. About 77 in san rafael all the way up to 82 in santa rosa and cal sto calistoga. 71 in richmond and berkeley and some of the cooler spots along with that 69 in hayward. Everybody else around 72 to 74 along the east bay shore. 79 in san ramon but look at those mid 80s around antioch and brentwood. Tonight a few more clouds, especially in the southern half of the bay. And then up in the north bay, a little bit of fog trying to creep in along those coastal valleys that could reach over on 101. Heres a look at the cold front passing to the north. Kick up a few high clouds this afternoon and on the back side of that is this warm front and thats why well have even warmer temperatures tomorrow. Even the coast will warm up a little bit even though the sea breeze will keep you from getting too warm. 78 to 88. Thats our spread around the bay and inland. 70 to 82 for wednesday. Still a little bit above average and temperatures back to average thursday and friday and below average with mainly 50s and 60s this weekend.
