At that debate hall with the democrats. Absolutely. They were sparring. On fire. They were. And that is where we begin right now. The democrats came out swinging with most of the blows landing on billionaire Michael Bloomberg. Debate number nine quickly turned into an allout brawl in las vegas as bloomberg made his first appearance and struggled to fend off a steady barrage of attacks. The candidates also took aim at senator Bernie Sanders as the newly crowned frontrunner, as senator Elizabeth Warren had her fiestiest performance yet. The 2020 democratic rivals wasted no time denouncing the newcomer on stage. A billionaire who calls women fat broads and horsefaced lesbians. I remember there was a day when they said, were not going to attack each other that much. Not tonight, not last night. Not when the field is getting smaller, youve got super tuesday around the corner, a convention will be here before you know it. In the meantime, President Trump is trying to steal the spotlight from the democrats during a swing through the west. He held a rally in phoenix the same time as the debate and used the opportunity to slam the candidates. He said Mike Bloomberg was getting pounded, mocked joe biden, accused the Democratic National committee of trying to rob Bernie Sanders. The rally came just hours after the president selected richard grenell, the u. S. Ambassador to germany, to be acting director of national intelligence. Democrats blasted the decision as dangerous saying grenell is a trump loyalist with no experience in intelligence. It is sentencing day for President Trumps longtime friend and adviser roger stone, the selfdescribed dirty trickster is accused of lying to congress, crimes the prosecutors have linked to prying to protect the president. Four prosecutors quit the case after the Justice Department overruled the recommendation of seven to nine years in prison and pushed for a lighter sentence. President trump has said stone was treated unfairly but his sentence is totally up to the judge. In his first extended comments since being set free from federal prison, former illinois governor Rod Blagojevich had plenty of praise for President Trump. Blagojevich offered a 20minute monologue to reporters outside his chicago home wednesday. He left prison the day before after the president commuted the 14year sentence he was serving for political corruption. Blagojevich, who served in office as a democrat, praised trump as a reformer of a flawed criminal justice system. Im returning home today from a long exile, a freed political prisoner. We want to again express our deepest gratitude to President Trump. Im a trumpocrat. If i have the ability to vote, im going to vote for him. Blagojevich spent eight years behind bars.
